I miss @ClownShoesDreams from living in Texas, wish they would expand distro to Idaho.

I liked Bluegrass Billionaire; however, the Cognac version from last year might be one of my 5 favorite barleywines ever. So glad that still sits on the shelf at my local shop. I probably pick up a bottle once a month.

Really anxious to try Trillionaire. You guys hit just about everything out of the park!

I haven't seen it downstate yet and my store gets a pretty large amount of all Clown Shoes bombers it seems. Many sit on the shelf for weeks or months even. Last I was there they had Crasher, Rexx, Gargoyle '15, The Peace. So I wait...

Any more news on distribution for Trillionaire, @ClownShoesBryan or @ClownShoesDreams ? I just picked up a few bottles of Bluegrass today and was reminded. I've got the original, Pierre Ferrand and Bluegrass all lined up, just waiting for a bottle of Trillionaire to do a side-by-side tasting of them all. Can't wait! The original Billionaire was the beer that first got me turned on to Clown Shoes, and I've been obsessed with tracking down your limited releases ever since.

Had my first bottle of Bluegrass Billionaire...excellent. But absolutely let it warm up considerably in your glass. When it opens up, you get far more bourbon and dark fruits. Bought two more...

This was off my radar so I missed it locally. But I was in Horroch's in Lansing over the weekend and didn't see any. Ann Arbor area said come and gone. My buddy picked up a couple in Toledo last week however so do have a bottle. Will be paying better attention for Trillionaire.

While very good, the Bluegrass has the same stale, oxidized characteristic the Pierre Ferrand had. I know it's been argued from both sides, but a Clown Shoes rep told me the second batch of Billionaire was a blend with Crunkle Sam, and I can taste it, both then in my store in front of him, and through numerous bottles I've opened. Other people from the brewery say differently, but it's hard to argue with my palate. I drink primarily English barleywines and have had Billionaire from both years several times, and even did a side by side recently. The original 2014 batch of Billionaire in Remy barrels had absolutely no hop aroma, dryness, or bitterness at all, these others batches though have. The Bluegrass exhibits it, though not as harsh as the Pierre Ferrand, and it's a slight turnoff for me.

Still, it's good, and it's dangerous at 12.5% as it's very smooth.

I already picked up 2 bottles of Bluegrass Billionaire in Ithaca, NY. Haven't seen Trillionaire yet but that's a must buy too. Clown Shoes knows how to Barrel age.
