Remember when Threes had a 4 case limit of beer in a year from now, folks.

can anyone comment on their last release? seems like a 2 case limit is a bad idea, if everyone does so thats only 100 people.

For sake of clarification, this is our first time doing this and we're very much learning as we go. Candidly, we entirely unclear on how much demand exists for this beer. We want to get it in as many people's hands as possible, especially folks who have supported us since we opened.

It is not our expectation that people will come and buy 4 cases each. If they do, we'll make sure we adapt the program for next time to make it more balanced. Our whole intention with the cap is simply to prevent a wholesaler from swooping in, buying a large allotment and then jacking the prices up at a level that is unreasonable to the consumer.

The good news is there are many more releases to follow...

Looking forward to a can release from Threes next Friday:
    *Vliet, Pils
Clean, Sweet Hay, Herbal Hops, Verdant.
    5.2% ABV 35 IBU // 12oz, $14 per 6 pack

    *Day of the Dead, IPA
    Pineapple, Spruce Tips, Pungent, Coaxing.
    6.9% ABV // 12oz, $16 per 6 pack

The initial bottle run had only 500 bottles. For a whole bunch of logistical reasons, we have far more cans - about 200 cases of each. There will be a 2 case limit per style; in other words, a 4 case limit per customer (for those who dare to carry 4 cases of beer).

To clarify my own comment, I only meant that because with regular cans, Threes is going to blow up - they make cool beer. I didn't mean it was a stupid idea on their part

My concern is it will turn it's a weekday OH release situation. I wouldn't be surprised if people start lining up early and get their full allotments given how well received their IPAs are.

It seems to me that if the intent is to prevent "wholesalers swooping in" the limit should be much lower than 2 cases per style.

For comparison's sake, most local bottle shops only get 1 or 2 cases of Grimm when it makes the rounds, so I bet they'll jump at the chance to get 2 cases of another Brooklyn-born #hypecan straight from the brewery itself. I think you guys underestimate how crazy people go when you simply utter the words "IPA" and "can" around these parts. Meaning no offense.

Thank god you didn't describe DOTD as a "dank juicebomb" or the line would be forming already...

What's the deal with DOTD, is this a totally new beer or something they have had on the brewery in the past? I have a friend who is planning on going to the release and basically begging me to take a few cans off their hands. TBH I wasn't thrilled with their beers on my only visit to the brewery so unless people are expecting this to be a great beer I'm inclined to save my money for OH, SC and Grimm offerings...

Let's stop using words like "release" and "line."
