Depends on the beer. Since the expansion they have been releasing wild ales almost on a monthly basis, many going into their distribution market, some staying brewery only. The batches are definitely bigger than previous years. The tasting room pretty much always has something wild for sale. I can honestly say I've never had a mediocre wild ale from them. They're balanced, complex and always worth the effort.

Does anyone know how to distinguish a Batch 1 Mattina from a Batch 2? I know there's a Feb 2015 bottling date on the most recent release. Mainly asking as I've been in talks with someone who has a Mattina bottle with no bottling date on it that he was given at an event prior to the release of the 2015 batch. I did a google search and noticed that there are Mattina labels with a line across the top where the picture of the raspberries are. The person I'm talking to who received it as a gift sent me pics of both and am wondering if he ended up receiving a bottle of batch 2 prior to the actual release of the beer. The pic of the bottle with no date didn't have the line across the top.

I wonder if those were the batch bottled up for the Belgian event last year in the spring, and then served at Wild Friendship at Allagash last May.

If you strike out in Portland, shoot me a BM when you're in Boston, I'd be glad to work out a trade or even just open one or two to share.

Batch 1 Mattina from what I've heard, never was released for sale due to inconsistent carbonation. However, Allagash had prior to B2 frequently busted out B1 for pours at bottle events. B2 definitely is dated. So its entirely possible this is B1 your buddy has.

Allagash Brewing Company There will be about 2600 Cerise and 1300 Neddles that go on sale. Hard to say on whether they will make it till Sunday. Coolship Red made it for a few days.

Of all the coolships, Red is usually the smallest batch too.

Red made it much longer than a few days. I went 2 weeks later and there was still a couple of cases left.

Did anyone make it down over the weekend for Cerise and Neddles? I wonder if either of them made it past the weekend.

EDIT: Just saw on Twitter that Cerise is still around.

Was there on Saturday morning. Cerise was at 6 per and Neddles at 3 per. They also had Nancy, but I can't recall the limit.

Looks like they still had a good amount of both Cerise and Neddles today. Still 6 and 3 limits, respectively.

Nancy was just released and know it's hitting distributor docks. Distributors get it in fairly small batches and generally released to stores that specifically deal in micros/crafts.
