We were part of the "front of the line" group haha.

 

I am gonna be in the keys from August 6th-20th and wanted to pick a day to drive up to Miami and hit up J Wakefield and go to a Marlins game. I see last year they had Miami Madness release during that timeframe and was just wondering if that was a yearly deal or just a random timeframe when it was ready last year? It would be cool to be able to get bottles but I would even just like to try it or DFPF on tap if at all possible.

 

It's random as in randomly whenever the mangos are ready down here. I hope John does the Miami Madness event like he did last year. That would be your best bet on trying both dfpf and miami madness, but stay away from the cuvée because it's all mine.

Thanks, hopefully the mangos are ready and this is bottled in that very specific two week period I am down there with a Marlins home game on the same day , but I will be visiting the brewery regardless, just hope to see some of these are on tap so I can try them. I may have to sneak one of those cuvee from you if it is available lol

It's a good time frame you got, so hopefully you'll luck out, but I got say that drive from the keys even from Largo would be brutal.

 

Yeah, it's from Marathon to, gonna be a few hours to get there. Should be fun though, I have never been to any kind of release event so that would be cool and the beers themselves sound amazing. St. Augustine to Miami though is just too far for me to go so I figure may as well take advantage while I am at least a little bit closer. Plus I have gone to the keys almost every year of my life for lobster season and never actually been to Miami, so it'll be all new to me.

 

Wakefield naming these events for "whales" turns me off. Tasty beers though

The way he treated and continues to treat people turns me off! I'll never trade or/and buy his beer.

 

If you're talking about the event that was just posted for July 3rd, it's not a JWB event. It's a ticketed only event created by a patron, who's renting out the brewery that day for a bottle share/dinner.

 

Still a few bottles or Every Gose left, but not many. Maybe less than a case of Haboob as well. Can't wait for the barrel version of that one.
