I am actually flying. So only can get stuff from the airport to the beach.

Wicked Weed, yes. Hey!Beer goes to Raleigh and meets the man there on a regular basis, they're always well stocked with WW.

Also, if you hit up Wilmington Brewing Company (right down the road) you can get growler and crowler fills. Their Midtown Swank IPA and Sneaky Goose IIPA are both really good, definitely worthy of a buy.

I like it alot, especially now that it comes in 4 pk rather than 750 mil.

Agree, both Scythe and Surf Wax are top notch in my book.

I tried it a couple of years ago and didn't really like it. I intend to give it another go though.

Hop Burglar is fine, I think, but like you said, not in the same ballpark as Pernicious and Freak.

I agree. Drank a four pack of Scythe, Pernicious, and Hop Burglar the other weekend. Hop Burglar was by far and away my least favorite of the three.
On a side note, I had some Massacre of the Innocents on tap at Buriel, and I thought it was fantastic. Way better than I remembered. The bartender said the brewer had really dialed it in lately. Anyone else really enjoyed this beer recently?

No more Heist crowlers or growlers for a while according to their Instagram. Total bummer.

As mentioned, WW should be around most bottle shops, it depends on when we get our next drop because it can go quickly. Trophy is making its way down here in Kegs and it's been on at Lighthouse at Wrightsville Beach and Bombers in downtown Wilmington has also had Trophy beers on tap. They aren't all IPAs, but worth checking out. Both places keep their websites pretty up to date with what is on tap. Burial doesn't distribute here yet.

I agree with @OldManMetal that the IPAs from WBC are top notch and you would certainly be remissed if you didn't pick up a crowler. Their Tropical Lightning is on par with Pernicious as far as single IPAs go!

Sorry fellas and no offense to anyone but I think Wooden Robot has Heist beat on hops and overall beers. Heist was good but not as good.

Thanks for the suggestions. Checked their websites and both look like they got good stuff. Plan on checking WBC as well

I know it's been out on draft for a while, but I picked up some Par 4 from NoDa last night and it's drinking mighty fine from the can. Date was 5/26/16. I hope they can keep it consistent!

Hop burglar was solid. Heist reformed and all is ripe was excellent (a lot like tree house/trillium/hoof hearted), foothills jade was solid. Hilton head breaking edge series was amazing surprisingly. Coast Hopart has improved a lot since i had it the first time.

Not a true IPA / DIPA but Lynwood Full Nelson is spectacular - classified as a amber / red ale.
    Reminds me of Hubris............:sunglasses:
