Already has, I was at Tasty earlier today and they had several cases of it still.

Grabbed a batch 8 today. More expensive than their others so far, but it sounds great.

I have 2 but am going to hold on them. Almost zero carb. :slight_frown:

Really? Damn, I figured with the brett that would be the last thing to worry about.

Give it time. Batch 1 was a gusher when I opened a bottle earlier this month.

You may already know this -- no offense intended if you do -- but, if this is an unfiltered beer with yeast still in the bottle, laying the bottles on their sides for a few days increases how much yeast is exposed to the beer. Can help in cases where a little more fermentation is necessary to increase the carbonation.

I'll probably just wait until the next time I win something and shake it up like hell and pop the cork and try and spray it everywhere like champagne. Probably end up with as much in my glass as my last Need a Hug :slight_frown:

Understandable but I am a little irked that I pay $20 for a beer that is not ready to drink. Dont sell undercarbed (zero carb) beers. Not hard for the brewer to wait. Great way to lose customers. Especially that Zebulons batches have wildly varying carbination levels and are not exactly cheap. Tokyo Gose is great but is very carb heavy and $12 a bottle, well you can get a 6er of WB Gose at that price.

That's disheartening...I've gotten to the point now that I open my wilds/sours/etc in a Tupperware to catch potential gush haha

LOL. One thing I will say is whatever did end up in the glass from that bottle tasted phenomenal.

But hey on that subject in general, I honestly appreciate brewers like Zebulon and Fonta Flora taking on bottle-conditioning and trying to tame the wild beast, even if sometimes it doesn't turn out perfectly. I am personally of the mindset that beers like that have a higher ceiling, and thus also sometimes a lower floor, than they would if a safer road were taken. I'm willing to take that risk for the sake of science...but yeah for $20 I'm hoping it has a little carb.

I agree. My first bottle of brun Brutus was definitely undercarbed, but still delicious. I love this rustic/artisanal (or whatever you want to call it) style of doing things.

You have every right to be frustrated, for sure.

Has anyone reached out to them about the carb issue(s)?

This is honestly the first I've heard of it and all the ones I've had from Zebulon so far have been fine. Haven't opened my batch 8 yet though.

I have had every single one of their bottles, and have yet to have a single carb issue.

It looks like we have one person on here that said they had a low carb bottle.

Popped my Batch 08 when I bought it last week and it was flat. Had some nice fruit puree going on with it but lack of carb kind of sucks for 20 bucks.

My batch 8 was perfect a from a carb standpoint and great as a overall beer!

Excellent. There is hope for my other bottles. I am sure hanging on to them a bit is never a bad thing!

Popped my batch 8 last night and not only was the carb fine, it was absolutely fantastic! Definitely the best beer I've had from Zebulon and one of the better things I've had recently in general.
