Cant wait to check out the renovated brewpub next weekend. Brunch at Casa and hitting up Jackie O's during the day is one of the many side perks of Nelsonville Music Festival. @beace any chance you're DJing with Johnny again?!

 

Why is BA so insecure in their product they feel the need to block anything that might be remotely competitive to them?

 

Part of me just died inside knowing they do that and I still use this site.

 

Does anyone know if they have wood carvings at the pub/brewery for sale?

 

The paddles/cheese plates? They are definitely at the brewery, and they were at the pub the last time I was there but I haven't been there this year.

 

I'm talking about the wood carving pieces done by regional artists (usually black and white).

 

They had some of the originals for sale but they may be sold by now. I remember them from last July hanging on the wall with prices. I want one but couldn't swing the money ($100-250) after maxing on many allotments.

 

We're there about every 5-6 weeks, haven't seen them this year. They do always have different art/mediums for sale from local artists, not sure how often they rotate. I think the cutting boards are the only wood things I've seen. But something about being in Athens kinda overstimulates my brain, and I get fuzzy trying to recall the exact details of our visit.

An random update and is in no way a dig at Westbrook brewing but did a side by side over vacation and Jackie O's oro negro bests Westbrook Mexican cake IMO add to the fact it's a lot easier to obtain we are very lucky to have a brewery with top notch communication with their customers and a top notch brew cheers !!!!

 

Just did the same side by side, both 2016 releases, and oro takes the cake for me as well. Such a great beer, can't imagine that stuff in a barrel

 

That would be some mind palate mind blowing beer!!!

@beace , out of curiosity, is there anything around the corner as far as 375s go? Coming down on the 17th of this month and was wondering. If not, I guess I'll just have to drown myself in BBBK Nuts and Oro.

 

@ohiobeer29 @Mshull Agreed...Oro is superior over Cake. Nice job @beace

 

He said 2 to 3 months on BB OIL back in mid April if I'm not mistaken. You might've in luck, really looking forward to this myself.

 

If I'm able to buy BBBK Nuts, Oro, and BB Oil at the same time, it will be very pleasing to me.
