    Picked up one bottle Friday for $15.99.......thinking about aging it for a while, but not sure I can wait to try it.

    Seems it won't be here in west Michigan...called all of the shops that carry imports....Nothing...They carry other Rodenbach beers....Boo hoo...So wanted to try this.

    Won lottery at Capone's liquor on Elston in Chicago for 1 bottle out of their 5!

    When is the ideal time to open? Fresh?
    I don't know how long I cans sit on this.

    It's verrry cherry forward right now (think New Glarus), I'm expecting some age will round it out/soften it a tad

    Damn it....keep seeing posts about how well it will age....guess I should have grabbed more than one....none left at the local place now.....oh well, maybe I will sit on my one for a while....,maybe a year or two.....hell, still have some 2012 Bruery Frust, 2013 CCB Marshal Zhukov's, 2013 Ten Fidy, 2014 other beers....etc....:wink:

    Is this version of Alexander closer to Liefman's Cuvee Brut or Rodenbach Grand Cru? Did Palm use cherry juice or whole fruit?

    Yes, considering wholesale cost to a retailer is about $12.50 per bottle. At $35 per, I would find another store. You can just imagine what they are doing to you on other products.

    I don't have to imagine. Every damn bottle is at least 40% higher than what you'd pay in most other states. In my part of PA, the alternatives are basically buy beer by the case or drive to another state. I do both occasionally, but sometimes you want to just drive a short distance and browse. After moving back here two years ago from Oregon, where I could buy decent six-packs for under ten bucks at almost any gas station or 7 Eleven, and from time to time found Pliny at the supermarket, its been an adjustment.
