Where do you suggest for SC?

Also, love the Westbrook in your avatar; was thrilled to learn of a brewery in my hometown. Hope to visit next time I'm back there, but at least had the chance to pick some up last summer.

I'd change MA from Hobo to Armbsy Abbey. Mekong and Thirsty Monk are absolutely correct though for VA and NC.

I'd say Fischman's in Chicago, Illinois, but it's closing down sadly because of some bs property prices dispute. :slight_frown:

Though I still haven't been to The Pickled Pig in Rehoboth, reading the description I would say it is not Delaware's best bar. Two Stones (any location) has at least 10 more taps, cask beer, and a nice bottle and can list. As far as limited beers go they get a lot, I've seen a lot of barrel aged Firestone on their tap lists and Bourbon Counties along with aged DFH kegs and draft only local beers!

MA - Armsby Abbey in Worchester and Rail Trail in Hudson are two outstanding bars with killer selections of the rare and unique (Armsby has hill farmstead on tap in MA - may be the only one). I am from Burlington a good 30 min from either location and it is always worth the trip. Both owners are outstanding. On any given day either bar may have 6+ beers I have never had and being a ticker that is saying something. In Boston I prefer the Sunset Grille - which has over 100 taps and i believe 500 bottles. Yum!

Angel's Trumpet, The Attic and Flanny's are all great, but I do think they made the right decision with Tops, given that it's been around quite a bit longer and is more of a valley staple than the others.

I see that Independent Ale House in Rapid City, South Dakota was chosen the best in the state. I can't dispute it since I haven't been there, but Sioux Falls is a much larger market so we have three excellent taprooms with as many or more taps of craft; two JL Beers taprooms and Monk's. JL has the best burgers and fries in town hands down, and over the past several months has had BCBS, KBS, Abyss, BOMB!, FBS, etc. Monk's is also a brewery and they can scale up to well over 50 taps for special events. We also have two other decent taprooms with 30+ taps of craft. I wonder if the authors truly considered the Sioux Falls alternatives.

Ah yes Blind Tiger in NYC. A great place when it's empty, a terrible place when it's slightly crowded. Don't ever bother going to special events there.
