Waited in line for 30 minutes then tasted it and left. Not really that great.

Mocha Machine is definitely better, but it's still really good

SoaS is the only Beachwood beer that doesn't do it for me. The cardamom is just so overpowering that I can't taste anything else.

bro bro broooo.. we make deal. You don't diss Glendale Ale, you get growler fill of Merlrose Imperial.

SoaS was amazing. I disagree. fresh is always better on this. 16>15>14.

14 was still good, but you could see how it dropped off and the coffee faded. Still delicious. So who was able to pull the Veronica and Betty and go to both this and monkish?

    I didn't like 15 at all. Had a strange acidity that I didn't expect.

    That Melrose was something else.

1/2 Veronica and 1/2 Betty if waiting in line for Monkish and completing an IP trade at Beachwood counts. From what I've seen, those who were at Beachwood early may have been able to still get at least 2 four packs of Spock It at Monkish if they didn't take their time driving over.

I was able to get Spock It and I didn't leave Beachwood until 2:15 or so.

Got both Veronica and Betty. Near the front for monkish and got to beachwood just in time to get the full allotment.

I opted against going to Beachwood and went to Monkish instead. I have quite an abundance of BA and Non-BA Coffee Stouts already. Unfortunately I do not have infinite space in my cellar

Was able to have a great time at Beachwood and then make it over to Monkish to pick up some Spock It, which I liked waaaaay better than the DIPA anyway. Overall, an outstanding beer day.

Cracked a bottle of SoaS last night and it is excellent. All coffee in the nose and taste. I will be opening another bottle tonight, I think these will be better fresh.

    Beachwood BBQ & Brewing's 5th Anniversary Celebration -- Saturday, July 9th

To commemorate the 5th Anniversary of Beachwood BBQ & Brewing in Long Beach, the brewpub will open early at 10:30am with food specials all day long including a pickle bar and housemade sausages!

We'll be pouring over 40 different Beachwood Brewing beers including several many gems including Sadie, 8 Buffalo, Rye Like an Eagle and special casks prepared just for the event. On draft Beachwood fans will be able to sip GABF and World Beer Cup award winning favorites like: Mocha Machine Imperial Chocolate Coffee Porter, Un Atout Belgian-Style Saison, Udder Love Milk Stout, Kilgore American Stout, and Foam Top Cream Ale!

And another anniversary means another anniversary beer!

For the first time our anniversary beer will be a barrel-aged brew...
Barrelogenesis: Malts converge to form an astronomically rich barleywine that takes a year-long journey in Kentucky bourbon barrels. Flavors & aromas of toffee, caramel, vanilla, & oak will sustain for light years to come.

Available on draft and in bottles ($20 / 22oz.)

And to up the ante even more...
We've decided to release bottles of this year's edition of Barrel Aged Full Malted Jacket, our Scottish "Wee Heavy" ale aged in Bourbon barrels on the same day!
Available on draft and in bottles ($20 / 22oz.)
    When:
    Saturday, July 9th, 2016 - 10:30am to 2am

    Where:
    Beachwood BBQ & Brewing
    210 E 3rd Street
    Long Beach, CA 90802
