A nice surprise -- Dogfish Head's "Beer to Drink Music to" is really good. Especially cold. With Thai food. Or salads. Crisp, refreshing, 9%, and $9/4pack at Whole Foods.

I arrived at around 330 30mins after they started to sell and it was sold out. But the guy I talked to said he bought it for $8.
Which at this day and age is reasonably acceptable

Yes, it was $7.99 or maybe $6.99. 8oz pours were the same or less I believe.

Yup. Just checked the receipt. It was 7.99 before tax. Even better.

Jack Rose is basically empty right now, and the Surly is flowing like water.

base deceiver is better than base DL, and DL makes some of the best adjunct stouts

Still pouring*, and it's delicious (and I say this having lost my taste a bit for bourbon stouts). Had a Todd the Axeman before that, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but great as it is, I've had better IPAs at Ocelot and Aslin lately (!) Who'd have thought our locals would get that good.

*People here seem to not realize that incredible beers are flowing.

To be fair, I've liked Todd better in the can than on tap at Surly. But agree on Ocelot and Aslin.

Not quite close enough to be considered local but The Answer's Grand Larceny drank phenomenally well yesterday too. Having had that, Axeman, and Ocelot/Aslin in the same night was a good basis of comparison to believe that we have a lot to look forward to in the DMV.

Does anyone else feel like the 5/12 canning of Double Duckpin has lost it's flavor already? I'm a huge fan of Union and all their beers but this is the first time I've notice the fall off in the hoppiness this quickly. I got them the day they were released at the brewery and the couple I had that day were amazing but I had a couple more this weekend and thought they tasted completely different.

I've read some posts in the past with the flavor falling off but I've never really noticed it before. The cans I had were warm for a couple days so that might have been the reason but I wanted to see what everyone else thought.

I had one of the 5/12 a couple days ago and it was still awesome. With that said, I have noticed DD to fall off rather quickly in the past. Big difference between one week and even one month old.
