Black Note is on at The Blue Door Pub!

Had it last year at ABR and was completely underwhelmed. With all the BN being tapped this week, I'm sure I'll try it again at ABR. We'll see how it is then, I s'pose!

 

I'm more concerned about that burger. Any good?

"The Drunken Blucy Returns. Burger stuffed with cheese and shredded beef slow cooked in Expedition Stout. The remaining stout is reduced to an aoli topping the burger with beer battered onions."

 

That sounds like the best burger of all time.

 

What, no love for the BN?

 

I wasn't blown away by Black Note either, and it was one of the first brews i had at last years ABR. Don't get me wrong, it's very good but didn't blow my mind.

 

So, what BA beers blow your mind? Black Note is definitely one of my favorites.

 

I say this in all seriousness - BN was served at a temperature just about freezing last year at ABR. It was a cold day and maybe couldn't warm and open upon properly. That's why I'll try anything twice. I'll give it another go when the opportunity presents.

 

off the top of the head, barrel aged Dark Lord, 2007 Darkness, CBS, KBS, Black Tuesday, Hunahpu's, Parabola....come to mind.

Id be ever more concerned that the Blue Door capacity is about 7 people, maybe 8. I tried to get my burger fix there on a random tuesday afternoon and there still wasnt a seat available. That doesnt really mean it was busy, mind you

 

Just had it today. Was really great and I was able to get a seat easily at the bar.
