Throwing this out there... Boards and Brew in RSM is celebrating their two year anniversary this weekend and tapping some really solid brews for a sandwich shop. Just left after having Puga 2015, Tusk & Grain's Regular, Vanilla, Coconut, and Manhattan, Noble's Imperial Man's Milk (A Lovely Bunch) and Orange Mocha Frappacini. Tomorrow afternoon there's a bunch of Founders on tap, etc. the sandwiches are also huge and good!

I guess it's just me then. I am just not getting that savory hop bite at the moment. Thanks. O does anyone get a big headache after only drinking a couple of these the day after?

Agreed! Love B&B! Sandwiches are solid quality at low prices. Always a solid tap list. The T&G Coconut was OUTSTANDING!

Throwing out another new "beer place." Stopped by Heroes & Legends' soft opening today in Lake Forrest (off Lambert). They've got about 52 taps, with among others BCBS, Tusk & Grain No. 1, Olivia, Ground Control, 5 Barley Forges, Speedway Stout, Xocoveza, Old Rasputin, a couple of Boulevards, MT City of the Sun, Ten Fidy, etc. (Check Tap Hunter.) Only full so far, but talks of tasters apparently.

Pretty good looking "comfort food" menu, full bar, some outside seating, big screens for games, etc. apparently plan is to have some breweries do tap take-overs as well. Everyone seemed pretty friendly to me, so I'll definitely be back. This is a second location for them (first is in Claremont), so head over, get some good beers, and support them.

Swung by today (Monday) and found out it was only for Sat/Sun. They must have had temporary taps or something.

I still picked me up a '15 Puga. Yumm....

The WF in El Segundo is pretty solid, but they cover such a large area, that they run out of stuff quick. With that said, I've been lucky to get great stuff there.

Do your local spots a favor and buy their highly distributed base selections. These mom and pop shops get quality stuff based on how well they push their year round selections. One of the local places I go to was able to get Ground State and Leche Borracho because he's able to push BL's other widely distributed offerings. I'm sure this isn't new info to anybody, just a reminder.

The Iron Press in Anaheim had a solid tap list yesterday. They had their 2nd anniversary on Sunday, and still had an awesome selection yesterday. I had Ground State, Darkstar November, Leche Borracho and BCBS. They still might have some stuff on tap today.
    Cheers

I was there too. The bottle logic choices were great.

Late reply, but Santa Monica Liquor had it out yesterday. Wilshire & 10th. Might want to check there.

Rye Double DBA this Saturday at 11 at all three locations. I wonder what, if anything, they'll be doing to avoid a Parabajava-style shit-show (besides cutting bottle allocations to 2 per and jacking the price to $30/bottle).

The description can't help since it seems to indicate this is a one time exclusive opportunity (sound familiar?):
Available exclusively on Saturday, June 4th ONLY at the following locations: Brewery Emporium (Paso Robles, 10am), Barrelworks (Buellton, 11am), Brewery Store (Venice Beach, 12pm).

Yeah, was just gonna add that... instead of an adjunct version of their most popular Vintage beer, it's one of the least popular of the series, and the only novelty is double barreling... err, quadruple barreling? Whatever. Also, maybe Barrelworks will be calmer thanks to the Venice location. Still doubt it'll be available by evening, which is the earliest I could make it.

The wording is a little ambiguous, no? Could just be that they meant it will only be sold at those locations and nowhere else, not that it will only be sold on that date. I saw somewhere (probably here, actually) that there were 4000 bottles produced.

I'd say so. I think they mean on Saturday 6/4 the only places that will have it are the Firestone locations i.e. after 6/4 all bets are off and it will be available other places. IMO could easily be interpreted as the beer will only be available on 6/4 at the Firestone locations i.e. never to be sold again. Your interpretation is yet another possibility.
