Monkish Brewing

I agree. I think the Monkish cans are good and pretty juicy, but they still seem to lack that awesome mouthfeel like TH and Trillium.

 

Pigeon to me seemed to be the one with the softest mouthfeel, didnt get to try First Things First. I will say those Supa Dupa cans started tasting incredible as they sat for a little bit definitely not on the Trillium TH level though.

 

Yeah SDF is drinking great now!

 

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it but they are filling growlers of Stone Kisses.

 

Does anyone know if Monkish is available in the San Diego area?

 

had tasters of each spock it had a mint taste and i felt sticky green was way to sweet.

This release went pretty smoothly but am I in the minority in thinking it was a little concerning that so many people were drinking in the parking lot? Felt like I was the only one there that wasn't interested in having a beer at 9:00AM.

 

I was not drinking either. I spent most of the time dozed off in my chair catching up on some podcasts I missed. I thought for sure the police officer was going to hand out a few public drinking citations. What I thought was surprising was that the employees who were handing out wristbands turned a blind eye on that.

 

I couldn't make it to the release. Would anyone be able to hook me up with any empties? I collect California craft cans. Its getting pretty hard to keep up.

 

If you were on the side of the line where the brewery was everyone was drinking. The second part of the line was pretty subdued.

 

Went pretty good although I am sure the parking lot was trashed as majority of people were drinking beers
I passed on the drinking
Also I showed up at 845 am was about 70 people deep by the time they passed out the wrist bands and open the doors I was about 100+ people deep
All good I got my cans but they have to find better system to prevent that
The cans are delicious !!!!

 

Yeah, it's not so much people's choice to drink at 8AM that bothers me (although I'm not into that), but more the fact that people who show up late think it's cool to cut to the front of the line where a parking lot share is happening. For this reason it went from 40 people in front of me to about 70.

 

The chat and cut is despicable and should not be tolerated.

Not some, pretty much ALL. (Well, BA or the other board) People don't cut in line cause they don't know any better they do it because they think they earned it. You always get people on here after the fact saying "if someone cuts speak up" but the two times I have politely done it I was treated like a leper cause people are on some "don't you know who this is, they have been trading saisons since 87?!" shit and try to treat you like a square. Or they pull the "I was just visiting I was gonna move back when you guys got up there to purchase" and drop a hearty eye roll at you.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Shits way worse in Southern California for some reason. (Except for Younger, thats the fucking Olympics of line cutting)

 

Those in line could also collectively grow some balls and send any of these jagoffs to the back of the line. I've done it many times, and have seen it done many times.

To be fair, a couple of guys did speak up and tried to send a couple who walked right up to the front to join a beer share at 9:30 to join the rest of the line that was already at western. They wouldn't have it though and just continued chatting and drinking.
