Not much for great tap lists in Marlborough.
Firefly's (BBQ) has good food, they will have Be Hoppy on Tap as well as some Jack's Abbey and other standbys. They have a small outdoor patio. There is a playground for the little one downtime street across from the Country Club.

Second the VIN BIN for lunch, great sandwiches and you can grab a beer and sit outside, nice little park next door where the kiddo can run around while you eat.

Hudson Main St is the place to go. Medusa is BYOF, Rail Trail has good flatbreads and if you want more house of pizza style TC Landos is right next to Medusa and they deliver. Hit the Micro Creamery after for some ice cream.

Tavern on the Square in Northborough has a decent tap list, and you would be close to Cold Harbor in Westborough.

Sounds like you have Worcester in the cards, in addition to Armsby Abbey the Wormtown Taproom is a good take.

Actually, Framingham isn't too far from Marlborough... go to Jack's Abby. I believe they have some fantastic food.

I should probably add that my kid goes to restaurants all the time, as long as there isn't restrictions on bringing the kid he'll do fine.

Thanks for all the great tips in here, definitely planning to hit some of this stuff.

I don't think this has been mentioned yet, but if you're looking for bottles / cans to take home, Julios in Westboro is the place to go. They've got about the best selection in the area, get pretty regular shipments of Night Shift and Trillium.
Also, for non- beer related things, in Framingham, on the Sudbury line is Garden in the Woods, a nice Arboretum, walking trails and so forth. Also Walden Pond in Concord is nice.
For malls is Salomon Pond in Marlboro / Northboro, and the Natick Mall,

For can sales on Wesnesday at Treehouse, do you need to be there at 12:00 or do they last and you can grab them fairly easy?

Tree House cans last all day Wednesday like 95% of the time

Started making my list of plans. Curious, any places with Trillium and Night Shift on tap pretty regular that has great food?

You know about it already, but Armsby Abbey in Worcester, fabulous food, generally has NS and Trillium on tap, also the only place in Massachusetts that gets Hill Farmstead.

Also Row 34, right next door to Trillium's Fort Point location. Great beer menu, great food.

Oh, and apparently the Salty Pig now gets Trillium on tap - they're right by Back Bay Station and I absolutely love their food. You need to be into pork and ham and bacon, though... that's their whole schtick, is salted pig parts. Deeeelicious. But I don't think they put their beer menu online, so I'm going by the fact that Trillium lists them as a partner. At the very worst, though, they always have Maine Beer Co. stuff on tap, too.

I would add The Publick House as another spot with good food and a solid tap lineup that usually has a few lines of Trillium (currently six Trillium lines).

    Some great advice here!

Got here yesterday and hit the Publick House after Trillium, fantastic!

Any other restaurant suggestions close to Marlborough? Doesn't have to have a killer draft list as we plan to hit the Abbey tonight.

I was in the Salty Pig Monday afternoon for a quick pint and they had Fort Point and Dialed in on tap. So definitely some Trillium presence

Italian food, preferably in the North end.

You can't go wrong, honestly. Just close your eyes and throw a dart in the North End, and chances are it'll end up hitting an amazing Italian restaurant. Then go next door to the amazing Italian restaurant next to the one with the pissed off chef with a dart in his butt.
