I can appreciate that. I can find the Grimm doubles to be approaching too sweet at times, so this was a welcome change of pace. Different strokes for different folks though

I wasnt a fan of El, until I tried Kane's HopLab El Dorado. So I am not sure what to make of DreamWeapon. Love the art work and name but unfortunetly thats all

I think sleeper street by trillium was the only beer with el dorado that I enjoyed I usually get too much candy from it that makes it a little bit too sweet but I think the issue I had with it was just how subtle the flavor of it was compared to the very present bitterness in it. Kinda of reminded me of an other half IPA

Rubus Rebus is pretty damn great, had it on tap at M&H @ Astor - also had some bottles of Future Perfect still on the shelf.

Had my last can of Tesseract last night. Held up really nicely. Mellowed out a bit, but still a symphony of juicy tropical hops. Continues to be my favorite offering from Grimm.

You know that question? The one where you can only have one beer the rest of your life?

    It's Tesseract.

I have a can in the back of my fridge, if I keep it there that means I will have it for the rest of my life right?

I got to try a bunch of Grimm beers over the past couple days, here are my thoughts . . . P.S. the bartender at Lupulo was lovely, we chatted about how underappreciated dry hopped sours are, and he poured me Vacay on the house!

Vacay was really nice and crushable. It had a clean, almost mineral quality to it, surrounded by lemoney (but not that tart) flavor.

Lucky Cloud was amazing. Very NZ hops showcased with a great fruity sour quality. It reminded me of Rainbow Dome in the absolute best way.

Future Perfect is a nice, very fruit forward Berliner. It doesn't have the kind of bready, crackery finish that I find I enjoy in a lot of Berliners, but the fruit likely overwhelmed that. Also it is a beautiful color.

Dreamweapon was my least favorite of the bunch. I have read here it is El Dorado focused which may be why - though after a few beers my palate was probably not in the best place. It had a nice finish and carb, I just found it kind of forgettable.

Forcefield, on the other hand, was absolutely lovely. I have not found many Azacca focused beers, but Kane's Hop Lab was similar(ly great). Really fruity. I love "single hop focused" beers. Doesn't need to be truly single hop, but I like "showcasing" it. Kane actually does that a lot, and it works.

Almost got to try Vis a Vis too but ran out of time.

Anyone know if any Dreamweapon cans are still floating around?

Both Dreamweapon and Focefield has Columbus in it. However, as you mentioned El Dorado and Azacca are showcased primarily. Also, I agree with you FF might be the best Azacca showcasing beer. Founders Azacca IPA was meh....Victory Hop Ranch is decent.....

When did all these NYC BA's move to Washington Heights? Amazing to see so many comments about people picking up cans on 187th.

The next wave of gentrification will be driven by craft beer enthusiasts who can no longer afford the rent in their current neighborhoods after having to dole out $7+ for a 16 oz IPA.

Do you remember the bartender's name? I met one of the bartenders at Torst, who is also the beer director for Lupolo, and yea, he was very nice, maybe it was the same guy.

Interestingly, the only Columbus focused beer I've ever had was Toppling Goliath's 1492, which I really did not like either.

I want to say it was James or something similarly boring. Unfortunately I had a few too many beers that day - but his name was not Stefan or something remarkable and memorable. Either way, awesome guy and I will most certainly be back. OT but - Lupulo has branded growlers as part of the decor - do they fill / sell beer to go? I should have gotten a fill of Lucky Cloud if so . .

I think y'all won't be happy with the bar scene unless you love bachata and Brugal. Woman are beautiful if you're into that type of thing.

Me? I'm a 1%'er in the craft world. I don't even check the prices when I stock up at BeerTable.

How does one get an invite to the pool party/bottle share at your penthouse suite? Haha
