The way I see it, your staff were the first 30 people in line today. Your posts usually say, "about [xxx] bottles" so I think it's safe to assume it's never a precise number. Whether you had 520 or 550 bottles available for sale to the public today, it doesn't change the fact that some people were going to show up too late and leave empty handed.

I know you did, I was just sticking up for the guy who everyone was attacking. You can't have a complaint in the craft beer world without someone calling you entitled. People like to gang up on people from behind their keyboard on this forum. Sometimes deserved, sometimes not. I felt the latter in this case. And as I said, don't let one unhappy customer ruin what 500+ other people thought was the best way to release a small bottle count to date.

Uh-oh, mods are here. So...how's the beer anyway?

I have massive respect for JKs employees. They did an outstanding job today.

That being said, ownership needs to think things through more. Its a delicate line between brewing what you want and brewing what customers want...and JK has been on the wrong side for several months now.

Can you further explain this statement? Do you think customers should dictate what a brewery produces?

I showed up on time, not "so late". I was told by an employee that the cut off was 520, which was a mistake, and by the time our 5 second exchange was over at least 20 people had jumped me in line, one of them even posted about it in this thread. It seemed futile at that point whether some flakes happened or not.

If you showed up "on time," you are pushing it for these releases. Get there earlier next time and in the meantime, contact Jeff and he will obviously help you out. Whining incessantly on here won't help your cause.

Hah, have you read/heard their motto? Pretty clear.

I swear half of you aren't reading a damn thing I've said. When I say "on time" I mean I would've gotten a bottle had I not been told that I wouldn't get one by standing in line. I was there early, as stated multiple times previously, and several people who line jumped me and several who had been in line behind me got bottles. I was there before all of them.

They read what you stated but in this forum particularly, If you say anything negative about not getting a limited release then you are whining/entitled. No matter what the circumstances are. Your best bet is to contact JK and hash it out with them and keep it private between y'all. It's just not worth the effort and time to plead your case in public for the above mentioned reasons.

We get it. You've said it over and over again. Now put on your big boy pants and talk to Jeff directly about it. Going through it over and over and over and over on here won't accomplish anything.

Seems like you should have went and got your spot back in line. I left the line several times and had no issues getting back in my spot.

Opening an hour early and getting through the entire line before the original opening time was awesome. Seemed like the lines for pours and other to-go bottles around 11:30-noon were more painful than the release itself. I suppose that's a good problem to have.
