Can't find a CC thread that has been updated in the last 6 weeks so jumping in here -- hope that is OK.

Flying into Atlanta on Monday, June 20th and want to grab some shelf CC cans or whatever might be available at that time (just hoping for Athena and Tropicalia). I'll have a few hours free when I land so I don't mind driving around the city. Could anyone help point me to shops/locations that would be worth checking? Thanks.

Athena is the only "shelf" can easily obtainable in Atlanta. Tropicalia most places make you ask for them from the back and have limits. Its sells pretty quick too. I shop at greens on ponce primarily. you will be able to find Athena there most any time. Others good luck. Also their seasonal Automatic pale ale is supposed to be releasing here at some point.

Athena won't be a problem. Grab that at greens or hop city. Trop may be tough. Usually sells out same day and don't know anyone that gets a shipment on a Monday. Doesn't mean it doesn't last some places. If you want, send me a note and I'll try to pick it up for you for a handoff that Monday.

I think Hop City north of I-20 and east of the connector (99 Krog Street) will be your best bet. Honestly, you'll probably stumble across it by accident, if nothing else. Make sure you grab some Orpheus while you're in town; they do great work!

Thank you both for the info. I didn't realize it would be so tough! I'll keep an eye on this thread over the next few weeks. Hopefully my trip lines up with some sort of release.

You should definitely pick up some Transmigration of souls while in town.

Which releases are available in the Athens shops right now? Will be making a detour through Athens later this afternoon.

Gents -- just landed in Atlanta and will be around the airport for the next 4-5 hours and will be back on Thursday. Any bottle shops that MIGHT have some creature comfort cans? Any decent bottle shops within close driving range I should check out?

Thanks in advance -- I know these types of posts can be annoying...

They can be annoying when someone's already answered your question. You asked essentially the same thing three weeks ago and @Dil_thebeerdrinking_do gave you an answer. (And there have been other "I'm near the ATL airport; what can I find nearby?" threads over the last several months.)

They've been around 2 years and demand skyrocketed right out of the gate. I think they're doing pretty damn well considering.

Agreed. And also if he has only seen tropicalia once in Atlanta then he is either not looking hard enough or in the wrong places.

Excerpt from the Sept, 2015 "From the Source" article in BeerAdvocate Magazine.

Creature Comforts brewed around 2,000 barrels in the eight months it was open in 2014, and will likely top 10,000 barrels in 2015. Just before hitting the half-year mark, it brought home a bronze medal in the American Style Brett Beer category at the Great American Beer Festival.
“We can’t keep enough Tropicália in the restaurant, it sells so fast,” says Paige Lane, bar manager at Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall in Atlanta, Creature’s top draft account. “Our guests ask for it by name. It’s truly amazing what [Creature Comforts has] built in such a short time in Athens.”

Just adding validity to our point. That quote seemed to fit here. CC has done awesome things with a huge demand in a short period of time.
