    Battle Royale?

If the margin is +/- 10% then sell tickets for the low side of the margin and leave the rest for tasting room purchase.

Why don't they just buy a huge ticket roll at staples. Like those ones they do at raffles instead of wristbands?

Not in numbered order? See ya.

Don't they can it the night before? Can it, count the number of cans, set up the event, then people show up the next day without having to wait in line and having to deal with the negatives as Homer mentioned.

That takes care of cutters but I think the bigger issue is waiting in line for 3+ hours and even then not being guaranteed the full allotment. This crowd loves bottle shares so the lines will only get worse as people will eventually start camping out.

Do you think something as silly as having pre-purchased the beer is going to stop people from lining up?

True, but if you dont get a ticket then your waiting at your own risk.

No, but if I can buy it the night before from my place in OC and show up at my leisure the next day to pick up said cans, it sure does beat waiting in line for 3+ hours and the uncertainty of what I'd end up being able to purchase. If I miss out because I couldn't refresh fast enough, then that minute wasted is much easier to brush off versus waiting in line and not getting any. Maybe I am the only one that doesn't like standing in lines, so be it, but I don't think that's the case. I do love getting their beer though so if that's the only way right now, it's what I'll do. I can't change what Monkish does, only they can. I can merely offer up suggestions or retorts to potential problems with moving to the BPT/EB route.

    Problem #1:
Canning is done Thursday or Friday before a Saturday release at the discretion of a mobile canning company's availability. Sometimes in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon, etc.

    Problem #2:
Now you have a party every 2 weeks for about 800 people (math: your (2) 4-packs per person idea:: about 260 cases x (6) 4-packs per case divided by (2) 4-packs per person = approximately enough beer for 800 people) in a place where there's probably only enough space for 100 people max.

I can't speak for Monkish but Highland Park cans their IPAs the day of.

Being able to show up at your leisure along with 300-800 people (Based on can limits) is a huge headache for Monkish for all the reasons I've mentioned (storage, time, space, employees, emails, complaints, forfeiting beer, etc).

Couldn't they just keep the limits they have been doing then? They have had pretty generous limits and gradually decrease as the line moves past the wristbands. Then, there wouldn't be as many people getting four-packs (like now) and people could show up throughout the entire day so it would be spread out.

That still translates to 300+ people showing up for a party in a space for 100 people max, most likely less.

Then you have people complaining that cans sold out online in <5 minutes.

Showing up throughout the day doesn't solve the issues I have been mentioning (storage, time, space, employees, emails, people not showing up, complaints about limits, complaints about not being able to make the time frame, etc, etc).

There are issues to work out, but eventually this parking lot drunk bro-fest will result in trouble for Monkish so it's best we start working something out soon.

Nobody thinks that eliminating complaints is a issue to be solved.

Problem is, Monkish "is" going to do it their way or your going to take the highway.

This is 100% WRONG. They have been making adjustments and changes to the best of their ability. I'm sure there will be more.

To be fair, it was probably worse this past weekend compared to before. Monkish isn't in the business of predicting future behavior of beer nerds or bros or, quite frankly, policing beer lines. I'm sure they will try to make some adjustments.
