Same thing, just got to an air bnb and brought bottles to share. Will probably head over to the Adelaide.

Got some port and Madeira BT at the Marriott that are begging to be consumed. We are outside on the patio.

Damn, brought a whole cooler of beer but there's no action here at the Motel 6 in Atascadero. Way too tired from driving to head 15 min up the road to Adelaide. Guess we'll just have to drink these ourselves

Festival was pretty good. But LOL at Side Project.... after a 30 minute pause, it puts Derivation up on the board.... and 5 minutes later (and 20 people in line) it kicks.... don't even announce a crowler of a beer, wtf...

LOL they brought their entire staff to the festival, shut down their tasting room Friday and Saturday in St. Louis just so they could properly have enough people for the festival, bring some crazy great beer, win the people's choice for best brewery, and you want to whine because you didn't get any derivation.... You poor thing.

Fully agree, class act by side project today. Karen was even pouring noir du fermier in line to people. They had the most consistent, massive, and constant line of the fest and still didnt run out until about 40 min out. Very impressed especially considering the caliber of beer they are pouring. Saw some other breweries totally dialing it in or running out too fast.

They had way more than that, the real problem is lots of people cutting the line and getting pours. The line was not moving at all.

Yeah, spent 10 minutes in line for SP at about 2:15pm, and moved 5ft. Not their problem, poor attendees cutting lines. quickly left and carried on drinking stellar beers. Too much good stuff to spend more than a few minuets in any place.

Phew, now that I've hydrated, eaten dinner, and put some thought to the day... Gotta say Side Project brought it like none other today! Derivation #5 was my favorite overall brew I tried today. Also loooooved the Sherbet Hoover from The Bruery (and the secret BT Reserve pour). Another great year even with it being the 2nd hottest one that I've been to, after 2013's sweltering mess. Garage Project also had some great stuff and seemed to keep a long line all day. Can't wait til next year already!

Great event. Great pool share. Amazing every year. Anyone know what weekend FWIBF17 will be?

Most likely June 3rd, 2017 as it's the Saturday after Memorial Day.

The whole line cutting thing kills me. It's why I don't go to any release/event that requires standing in a long line.

It's weird too, because if someone stepped in front of most people in the line at the grocery store or at the department store they wouldn't get away with it, but for some reason at beer events everyone just sits there and stews as the line keeps getting longer in front of them.

And I love the folks on here with the "It's only beer bro." attitude, shows me which camp they're in.

If Cory knew about the line cutters, he'd probably refuse to pour them. He has a lot of experience with them.

The only way to fix it, is to change the culture. You'd have to have enough folks start saying, "Hey mofo, get to the back like everyone else." enough times to make it uncomfortable for line cutters. Or call the line cutter police.
