Thanks for the replies, I will setup an IP trade post and try to have things coordinated in advance for anyone who wants something from Trillium, Hill Farmstead, or Night Shift.

How is the Galaxy ODUB? I was down that way after the OH release but opted to skip Carton for no good reason.

I pondered the same question recently. It's all about your options. If Telectro is the only decent thing and you have the scratch, then yes. But if you're lucky, you'll get to vote with your wallet. I did when I passed on $16 Telectro and All Dank for $9 Barrier Money.

No collaboration for a change. I'm guessing two weeks is even quieter than this past one.

Covenhoven will do a 32oz of Telectro for $13, FYI.

For some reason Other Half is almost always the most expensive place to get growlers of their beer. I can't for the life of me understand why.

Yea he said he thought all those cans will last until Sunday for the next release, and seemed fine with that

This same discussion has been going on in the SingleCut thread and the general consensus is that they don't want to undercut the prices at the stores. If people could just go to the brewery and get the beer cheaper their would be no incentive for people to go to the store, which in turn means the stores would have no reason to purchase Other Half beer. No idea if this is correct it just what people have thrown out there.

In some regard, it makes sense that they should charge the draft price equivalent for a 32 oz growler. In particular given the time it takes them to fill growlers when they're busy, it seems they might be losing money vs just serving draft beer. It's different than some grocery store that's only selling to go.

I will say I'm glad I chose this release to go to. Low hype and superior beers, nice limits and a fast line. OH really has made these can releases much more efficient and thus more enjoyable. Kudos to the team for implementing so many improvements. And as others have said No Layups is great, second only to Street Green for me.

I guess, but I feel like it's tough to argue the space they have is really good for simply serving draft beer (i.e. operating as a bar without to-go options). In my opinion that tiny counter/room is actually much more set up for handling growlers than bar tabs and day-drinkers, etc. I don't buy it that they're losing money by filling growlers...they have a spray cleaner right by the bar, and filling two pints takes what, 45 seconds?

This explanation I might actually buy...still kinda hard to justify the $20 they charge for 32 oz. of AGE.

I agree 100% on space not being ideal for serving draft beer and that they could just do to-gos, but that isn't what the situation is. Also iirc, a taproom became an option (legally) as they were building, and what we have today is a quick pivot to make it possible. While not ideal, I'm glad we have it!

There's no reason for them to prioritize growlers though. It isn't uncommon for there to be a line for pours. If the bar was dead and they needed to make better use of time spent open, then sure, get those growlers going but that isn't the case. I've grumbled about their growler prices before, but it seems to be working for them.

Also, given the reception, sounds like there wasn't any blind hype building in regard to No Layups :stuck_out_tongue:

It's awesome, nice and peachy on the back end. It's pretty much exactly what I thought it would be. I can't compare it to the other variants since this is the first one I've had. but 077xx is one of my go to DIPA's so I give it a thumbs up.

So is it brewed exclusively using NZ hops? Or did they use traditional noble hops and then add the NZ varieties during the dry hop? Tastes like the former to me, but I'm no brewer. Either way, it's definitely a really cool take on the style.

This is awesome - any idea on how much this is going to increase capacity? Guessing about 4-6 months until new equipment goes online?

FYI The next release is Green Diamonds, not Baby Diamonds. As well as SGE and BBS.

Not sure actually - I'll ask one of the brewers tomorrow about it.

Damn, that's disappointing. Was excited about Baby Diamonds, don't really care about GD though.
