    I just wanted to give credit where credit is due. I had my bottle recently and it's one of the best beers I've ever had. The sweetness and balance with the barrel is perfect. I might pick up another bottle because it was that good. Don't sleep on this one.

    Yeah, I wasn't sure if OP was joking when he said 'he'd pick up another bottle' or did someone actually go to DLD and somehow sell it at Binny's.

    I was joking because of the sarcastic comment to my post. I realize I didn't use the right language when mentioning "picking up" another one. I meant trade for another. I guess I assumed everyone knew that dark lord and its variants were sold at the brewery one day a year and weren't sold on retail shelves. Lesson learned.

    Not necessarily true. They send some of the crap variants over to Denmark and it sits on shelves there for jacked up prices.

    this thread makes me happy. I wasn't thrilled with my group E options, and ended up with one even though I probably would have overlooked it had I had an earlier pickup group. looking forward to cracking it now...

    Great to here OP liked it. Look forward to trying my buddy's Legio and seeing how the spices affect it in my Temeculan. I haven't had a bad DLD variant yet (haven't tried the pepper ones though). Too many people who dislike the DLD variants judge them for what they aren't, a big, balanced quaffable stout. Just my opinion, but in the DLD variants Nick Floyd has pioneered the malt equivalent of a dessert wine and they are phenomenal as a post prandial sipper. Appreciate them for what they are.

    It was only to Mikkeller and it was only 2015 earl and Aqua. They didnt have that problem this year, they were so close on the variant to ticket count that investors and employees didnt get variants this year.

    Warpigs was selling 2015 Earl, Aquavit and Muerte right after DLD this year...

    That is one brewpub, which is partially owned by FFF and not "sitting on shelves all over Denmark" as yepbye2 claims.

    You are right though, they have sent more than just Aqavit.

    It could have been at Warpigs. I don't know. But it was sitting on shelves elsewhere in Denmark. Nice misquote BTW suggesting that I said it was all over Denmark.

    You did say shelves. As in plural. Interfering multiple places, when it wasnt available at anywhere not owned by Mikkeller. You wouldn't say Dark Lord Days are held at breweries in Munster, might be misunderstood by people not familiar with the situation.
