Agreed - 6 bottles is still a hell of an incentive. A whole case may have been a bit much.

Judging by the fact how many Ground State I drank just by myself + at shares, plus the fact that I enjoy FO even more than GS, I can say that I would personally have no problem with drinking a case by myself. Unfortunately that most likely won't happen.
Not to mention that if you have a group of beer friends from other states, you may want to share some with them as well.
Let's face it, with this kind of hype the beer has, even at 3pp there is never enough to meet the demand at the moment.

    Yeah

For the BL guys who experienced the Darkstar and original FO release, how long did the BPT sales last and were people this upset if the didn't get any? Based off yesterday's Facebook comments, literally thought people were going to start protesting..

    Stupid phone again.

They did not do online sales for FO. At the brewery only and very very few stores. People actually waited at the brewery and followed the truck for its deliveries.

I can't recall if DSN was online either times, but I don't think it was. The first DSN you could find in bottle shops months afterward. Once the FO hype happened it was difficult to find DSN the second times around.

Thanks, just found this from an older thread too:

"Info on 2015 FO for those interested:
    • 500ml format
    • $19.50 each (at brewery)
    • Approx 3400 bottles were made
    • Some had access to these at an event dinner prior to release - no limit there
    • Most had access to these at the release on June 30th - according to the thread - sold out quickly - some in line were denied bottles - limit was 6 pp; no BPT
    • Up to 44 cases found there way into distro - reports that delieveries were still being made as of 7/8'

Hopefully BL has made enough money to step up their production.

i would venture to guess week of logic alone brought in over a million dollars for them.

I'll just sit back and enjoy my shelf turd Callipygian. No expensive dinner, no lines at the brewery, and no trading away my left nut. Carry on.

Being into craft for over a decade, I've learned that yearly releases will happen every year...so if I miss FO this year, there's always next year. In the beginning I had little to no self respect. I would have probably been one of those chasing the trucks to see where they'd stop. People tripping balls about missing this dinner are probably new to the scene, or just lost their tree house trade.

In conclusion I hope this doesn't turn into a hobby for rich assholes.
Lol still @ that lady who's husband goes to BL twice a week. They don't have enough good stuff for me to spend more than three hours there a month. That dude's obviously hitting some bird on the side.

Pushy, like it. You quoted me, but I don't remember you as one of the people who messaged me to help when I was looking...

Shoot me a message though maybe we can work simmering out.

I learned it from watching you.

Oh, so you only return favors? So the folks that did reach out to you were just responding to your previous generosity? No, you were a stranger panhandling...now you're holding me to a standard that some other generous folks didn't hold you to.

I don't want anything from you, I just knew there would be some funny to be found.

The real funny to be found is everyone's emotion towards beer.

I offered to buy beer for whoever could help me out, if you're interested in a similar deal let me know.

Otherwise it seems you're just here to stir up the pot...

If there's anything people should be complaining about, it's out of towners being allowed to buy tickets. Not that it would make much difference if they disallowed it, but still. :grinning:
