Same this morning. No line quick in and out at 12pm. Limit was still 2 for Rye.

I'm going to be in the LA area next week. Definitely planning on going to the Venice location while being in town so I was curious if anyone could tell me what bottle options (especially rare/high quality) would be available at the Venice location. Do you think Parabola will still be available? Thanks in advance for any info.

With Stickee Monkey coming out next week, I think Parabola's window of being *easy* to get is past and you'll at best see it pop up with a vintage beer price increase next time 2016's version shows up in the fridge.

Sucaba and Velvet Merkin and XIX will be the ones you'll see in there as well as the latest of Barrelworks releases of Agrestic, Bretta Rose, Feral V b2, b3, though those had a lower case count and may disappear sooner rather than later.

I'm guessing they put all their focus on bottling it as even Barrelworks didn't have it on tap.

They did still have Parabola yesterday. 1 bottle limit as always. I could see it being there through next week, but I have no idea how much inventory they are sitting on.

anyone know if they still have rye double dba available? i was given the impression they were done making dobule dba, so i'd be pretty stoked to try this.

Could be wrong, but considering some bottle shops still have old DDBA, I'd say Rye will be around for a while - especially if Parabola is still available at the Venice store.

Plus $30 a bottle and its only for sale at their locations, should last a while.

Honestly I'm not sure. We still don't have it on draft here in Paso - kegs are SUPER limited.

Blame the city of Los Angeles for that. They nixed all dreams of a patio.

I'm more interested in trying Stivo. I didn't get to try it at FWIBF because it was not available half way through the festival.

I thought Stivo was good, but I prefer the Keller Pils

I went to the Venice location on Sunday. Before I left, I took a picture of the interior. One of the guys working there says, "It's nice huh?"

Me: "Yeah, I wish you'd build one in San Diego."
Him: "It probably would have been easier to build one in San Diego..."

    Oh LA...

Ha! I spoke with a brewer over the weekend who said he is looking into opening a place in either Venice or Santa Monica. I'm pretty sure I screamed SANTA MONICA because hopefully their organization will be more open to allowing a business to operate. I said if he needed convincing, I'd be happy to set up a meeting with David Walker about what a nightmare Venice was

Did ppl not get a pour as they walked in? Natalie and David were both pouring this for GA right as you entered the festival.

I was in the early VIP group where the entrance was on the opposite side of the main entrance so we walked directly into the festival and not through the large building. I figured the ticket would guarantee a pour of it. No biggie. I just hope FW Venice gets or has a keg.

What time did you try to get a pour? I was early admission as well and we were able to get a pour probably around 2.
