Thanks Bart! Looking forward to this box, my first one from the west coast. I'm heading up to MA tomorrow for a work trip for the rest of the week. I'll through a LIF up shortly with a few beers from my haul...which will be no where near the epic one of @Greeny87 .
Unfortunately gonna have to bow out for Newbie 4...moving very soon and won't be able to keep track of all this crazy shit! Gonna start jumping in on some LIF's, and probably host one of my own soon to dwindle down the cellar a bit! Can't wait to be jealous of all the boxes that could've been mine!
Round 4 content hint: I already picked up some Florida goodies on my recent trip. Right place. Right time.
Missed this but welcome again... NCal beers always welcome in the group I'm in for Round 4, hate to break my streak! Cheers fellas...
^ I think I remember catching wind that Bodhi might get bottled this year (FINALLY!), and I can't wait.
And the winner is @jonbonfondle with 7 cities; message me with your info and I'll try to ship by the end of the week. It came down to the tiebreaker. I've never been to Austin Texas (@sembo) but it's on my list. I have spent tons of time in Newport Oregon (@jonbonfondle) and Rogue was the brewery that got me into craft beer. If anyone ever plans a trip to Oregon, you can actually stay in an apartment above the brewery in Newport and they'll stock your fridge with beer...pretty sweet. Thanks everyone for participating in my LIF. Here are the answers: 1. Massapequa NY, Greenport Brewery 2. Ithaca NY, Ithaca Brewery 3. Washington DC, Rockbottom of Bethesda MD (It was my first job after college and they had 1$ pints) 4. Santa Barbara CA, Firestone Walker 5. Boston MA, Pretty Things 6. NY, NY, Sixpoint 7. San Francisco, Russian River
@Bristopher89 hooked me up with a bunch of Texas refreshments. This was my wife's response to watching me pour this one! Absolutely perfect beer for the rest of the spring and summer!
I liked it a lot man...when I was at the brewery, they had a about a pallet left. I didn't see any in stores, but probably because I only went to 3 liquor stores.
My first LIF win! Wow, so glad I went with that off-the-cuff tiebreaker guess based solely on your BA post about brewing a Rogue clone.
I went to Ithaca Brewery last year. Beautiful place. Really gracious as well. When the wait was around an hour, the owner brought my kids Popsicles. It's the little things.
First time I went to Other Half, I had my son because back then (just a little over a year ago), it was only an hour wait. Being at 9 am, owner came out with donuts offering them to people. Made my son very happy! Yup, those little things, aka great customer service, shine through.
