Has anyone seen Booming Rollers around the La Verne/Claremont area? I really wanna get my hands on some of the last canning run before it goes away forever until next year. HELP!!!

There are places around there that may still have it. Liquorama in Upland or San Dimas Liquor in, well, San Dimas.

I'm seeing stores re-stocking Sixpoints Puff. How'd you guys like it? How does it compare to Westcoast representions of NE IPA's?

Didn't really compare as much as I liked. I thought it was a dank, resinous, borderline Triple IPA with sweet bitterness - not really that juicy, soft mouthfeel that TH mastered and Monkish is close to emulating.

Pretty accurate. I'm pretty sure this was a triple IPA that was just unfiltered. It was harsh and in my opinion not very good.

So now we're comparing a NE IPA to West Coast versions of NE IPAs here on the West Coast? Now I'm just confused.

Thanks fellas. I'll save that money and put it towards the cost of half a bottle of FO or something.

Yes. I was looking to compare it to something I can actually attain. Unfortunately, my G6 is in the shop right now, and can't make it up to NE.

Bottle Logic is releasing their Imperial HazeShift tomorrow at the tasting room. It'll be available for growler fills. That beer should scratch that NE itch.

Thanks for the suggestion. San Dimas had one 4-pack of BR dated early April last time I was there. I was looking for some stupid fresh cans from the last run.

That's my jam. Best PA in Southern Cal.

I still don't get the whole rating thing in Southern Cal. Booming Rollers for example, it's sought after and folks one here are constantly looking for it. It scores a 93. Or Oneida, an 88.

Why is it that these highly desirable beers score the way they do? We're the ones rating them!

Where's the homerism for pete's sake!?!?

Couldn't agree more. Oneida is f'ing amazing along with BR. Not up to par with "classic" examples or NE orange juicers I suppose. Not hating on either, but....

I hope this means cans will be hitting Fresno soon. We're usually only a day or two behind.

5.8% on the can. Wasn't it less last year, like around 5.2%?
