It's definitely an uncommon fill due to the small opening at the top. I've gotten some filled at Heinens but usually they can't fill it all the way up so I drink it the same day. I know its not a big difference oz wise from a howler but it just seems like the perfect amount to drink if your finishing one solo. I always ask when I go somewhere if they will take them but I never expect it. I also enjoy the flip top over the screw top and I haven't come across any flip top howlers (or at least not locally).

 

Sounds like a new business opportunity. Custom howlers. People would pay several dollars for them.

 

I bought a swing top half growler on line. It's a stainless one and cost me about $35

My guess is that a few 4pks would be left. Galaxy High was gone within the week in my area. This just hit Columbus yesterday.

In Cincy you might be able to find it at a few gas stations that have a good craft beer selection, but it'll be gone at the big stores, more than likely.
