From my mental notes, the bottle seems to have a little thinner feel, and obviously no haze. However, the citra hops come through brighter than they do in the tap version.

I'll probably reach out to HA to see what the difference in process was; either way, both are great.

On Friday was told by staff that the tap/growler was the batch brewed at Lincoln and was cloudier in appearance for whatever reason. The Balmoral-brewed batch was put into the bombers and seems more settled.

I realized I did not specify that it was BHA at the Binny's in Naperville.

Don't know if this helps or if you're even interested, but you can still grab a growler of BHA at the brewery.

I wish I could make it to the taproom but its tough during the week. I work in the loop and live out in naperville so I am at the mercy of the train schedule most of the time. Honestly half acre is my favorite place in the city. I might try to get up there tomorrow...started half-day fridays all summer...makes it a lot easier. Thanks!

I'm actually not sure. I unfortunately wasn't able to stop by. Ill try again tonight though.

For the no one that cares about this besides me, I reached out to Half Acre to see what their thoughts were on the variances of the two batches of BHA. Similar to what @ErikO60102 said, the Lincoln version was the cloudier of the two (keg-only), the Balmoral was the darker, clearer version (kegs and bottles). Both are completely unfiltered (there goes my half-assed theory) with the same brewing process, treated entirely the same way throughout the entire process. The theory is that differences in equipment in both places yielded the different results (no specifics on exactly what differences in equipment those are). Very interesting, either way.

I heard the reason they didn't can it was since they don't make the beer in multiple batches, they have to hand label the cans, and it's too labor intensive.
