Tired Hands (June 2016)

By someone at tired hands do you mean someone standing around or an employee? Pretty sure you need electric to can, I'm not sure how long it takes, but I'm going to take a guess here and say that either A) They haven't done it at all yet, and if the power comes back it will be late today, or pushed to tomorrow B) Maybe they had some canning done already? And will still release whatever they got

 

Postponed til Thursday as per their Instagram.

 

The fact that people are actually blaming Tired Hands that they won't get their cans today..haha

 

Yea...pretty funny..one guy was like "they can get away it because they make such a great, limited product" or something along those lines....get away with it? get away with not controlling the weather?!

 

I'm glad I checked back here, I never considered the weather being a problem. It would have been just me and a bunch of wind blown soggy chairs waiting in line tonight.

 

It certainly is entertaining to read their Instagram post right now. Comments are borderline YouTube-esque.

 

I thought there were some funny ones though like the Zellersfield one. That was a dick move on his part not to warn people.

That post is getting scary quick. Sense of entitlement is amazing from some people.

 

The main theme here seems to be "Tired Hands MUST have a generator so as I do not waste another day of work to go buy beer. How dare they lose power on the day I took off of all days!"

 

The one comment asking for multiple growlers of mago and milkshake because "people took off and were looking to bring home a case of liquid gold" is pure comedy either intentional or not.

 

I guess we can hope that those people will be mad enough to skip future releases and leave more for us. Something tells me they'll take off next week and be back though.

For what it's worth there was a reasonably big storm in the area today and my power went out for a bit too so while I'd planned on going today it's obviously out of anyone's control and it's not a total surprise. They even posted a warning in the morning.

 

The fermentaria seems to have power issues. This isn't the first time they have lost power in that location. Not in any way blaming Tired Hands, just seems unfortunate that the cafe doesn't have the same power issues and only blocks apart.

 

Wow, that's some pathetic belly aching. I wonder what these people do when they're faced with real issues/problems?

 

Not just them, but Ardmore. I know Teresa's has lost power a few times. Older neighborhoods, older trees, more lines go down. I heard like 50,000 people in the area lost power today.

And yeah, the comments are ridiculous. I was pretty upset, i moved things around, got child care taken care of for the afternoon cause I really like American Youth. That said, it happens. Its beer. Life goes on just fine.

 

Didnt realize the storms hit that hard. My room at work has no good windows and only knew it rained like crazy

 

It's amazing how many people feel the need to blame someone else when something doesn't go their way. I mean yeah, if I took off work to go to the can release and it got postponed, I'd probably be pissed, but I wouldn't be pissed AT anyone. Sometimes shit just happens and it's not anyone's fault.

 

I liked Dystopian more than Kalamansi. Just wanted to say that.

 

I agree. Dystopian is one of my favorite things they've ever done. Can't believe it is only 6%.
