    The Batch 11,000 celebration.

Excited for an huge Imperial Red from Bell's, and it sounds like this one will hit full distribution if they're throwing it into sixers.

I'm curious if this will be worse than 10K. I don't see how, but maybe.

    From today's press release...

Seems like it's happening to me.

Doesn't seem like they're going to shoehorn in 60 different hops and malts or whatever the hell they did for 10,000, so I'm hopeful.

Someone needs to teach Bells how to make worthwhile anniversary/celebration beers.

Imperial Red Ale is an...interesting choice for this beer.

Yeah I know because Batch 3k-9k were so terrible.

I agree that 10k was average at release (tasting solid right now) and 25th Anniversary was nothing spectacular, but nearly every year before that were a solid entry.

bells views the world from a post-Internetz beer geek perspective. the stain of the insta-expert (e.g, 24 year-old kid with money to burn on overpriced, undercrafted beer) on the craft beer world is of no concern to bells. they were here before and will be here well after. looking forward to this one.

I've drank quite a bit of Bell's in my day (as a Midwest transplant), and agree with a lot of what you're saying. I would never want them to start churning out #rare saisons and BA beers or what have you.

That said I've been uniformly underwhelmed with their anniversary/Batch _____ beers, which is what my OP was getting at.

They posted on twitter it's currently available at their Eccentric Cafe and General Store. Hoping to see it on shelves soon.
