    Subtraction is clearly above me. I counted out 15 games, and was then like, no, wait, it's 25.

    A reminder, tomorrow is the last day to get your guess in for this LIF.

    An update, over the weekend the M's got swept by Texas, and the Cards took 2/3 from SF, so their combined total now stands at 61.

    OK, entries closed. My starting this LIF seems to have had a negative effect on both teams, as the combined total now stands at 62. Viva El Birdos!

    The Birds on a Bat came through with a victory over the Redlegs of Northern Kentucky yesterday, whilst the Sea-faring Gentlemen from Puget Sound dropped one to the Indigenous Peoples from the Land of Cleve, bringing our total to 65.

    Another split for our squads yesterday, with El Birdos completing a sweep of the Irates, and the Cascadian club dropping another to the Tejas Walkers. The total is now 69, just 5 games away, with both teams having today off. The M's are on the road, where they've played much better than home this year, in Tampa, and the Cards hosting a surging Houston team starting tomorrow.

    Well, another pair of losses yesterday (the M's marinered in almost prototypical Mariner fashion, up 7-3 halfway through the game, lose 8-7) leaves us at 69 combined wins. As of right now, it looks like @beatjunkee has the best chance of taking this LIF, but, I thought it would be done by now anyway, so I could easily be wrong again.

    I, too, made use of the verb "Marinered" today in discussion of the same game. Anybody know someone who knows someone willing to do some sort of damage to Safeco Field, just enough to deny it's usefulness as a baseball park for the remainder of the season, and can also carry out occaisional kneecapping duties on opposing teams as needed?

    Incidentally, I stumbled across Raspberry Millie today. First time I've seen a Wander beer in a smaller bottle format than the huge magnum types I thought were standard from them. Pretty sure that will be featured on the next NBS, if I can hold out that long.
