Bottle shares got out of hand. A few different customers ruined it for everyone by bringing in 25 to 30 bottles and camping out at a table for 8 or so hours, not buying food, not taking care of the staff, and getting wasted on shares. Charles has always been uneasy about large format shares so that was the final straw for him. It is a liability for any bar because no matter what, we are responsible. If we can't cut you off, or gauge how much you be had to drink, it isn't safe for us as a business. I'm not happy about it, but I understand.

I really fought like hell to at least keep the shares open for you guys because you guys are (mostly) responsible, buy and tip, and actually clean up after yourselves. I hope we can have shares again in the future, but I'm doubtful it will be a thing again.

 

It sucks, but I understand where Charles is coming from. It's a business. A share table has to make money for the business and the servers. And the liability. Was fun while it lasted.
