Alas, I'm no plant. Just a man, and a most unremarkable one at that. Should I pin my faith on reincarnation?

It's a movie quote. Never mind. Lol. I'm a Mike judge fan.

I'm pretty sure one can be banned from the NW forum for not knowing this movie.

The 3-way release party at Brouwers was certainly interesting.

A beastie boys cover band and 3-way brass monkeys (beer + 4oz OJ) packaged in custom printed Brouwers brown paper bags. Free trucker hats for all!

For some reason that movie isn't funny anymore

Does that mean the NW forum is nothing more (unsurprisingly) than an Idiocracy? If so, I humbly submit I've earned my citizenship in other ways.

Based on "Silicon Valley," Mike Judge is still going strong and still has his finger on the pulse of something. Pretty trenchant, that one.

Anyway, this year's 3-way is a really good beer. Maybe we should get back to discussing it, or drinking it, or not?

Cans should be at the COOP still.

Grabbed some of this in Bend. Great beer. Definitely a slightly different Tate and aroma but the softness and mouthfeel is much better than any Fort George or BB beer that I've had. Much more typical of Melvin beers which is why I really like their beers.

Mine from the two 4-pks I grabbed Saturday are 5/24 and 5/25. I'm not too worried. Sometimes, the reactions to bottle and can dating on IPAs get a little hysterical in my opinion. I pay attention to such things as much as the next guy, but I've had enough IPAs that aren't dated at all and turned out fine, and some of those could have been several months old for all I know.

Bottom line: if it tastes off, or past it's prime, I try to seek out a newer one to compare. Otherwise, I don't sweat it. Life's too short to leave beer I want to buy on the shelf.

Perhaps not. Plants don't just catch pee.

Thanks to recent political-cultural developments, everyone should know this movie!

Have to say this is my least favorite batch. The last two were incredibly dank, this year's is a good tropical ipa but I was really eager for those floral notes.

I didn't get a lot of "dank" from the 2014 version, but it sure was citrusy.

The 7.6.16 canning might be the best yet. Really good stuff.

Matter of fact, I think I'll open another one.

3 Way is one of those beers I enjoy, but never quite consider in the top echelon of IPA's. In fact, I'd take Optimist over 3 Way if I had to choose, and that's any of the last 3 batches. Still I buy a 4 pack every year just to see what's up and always enjoy it.

Does anyone know how much longer this delicious beer will be brewed? I am starting to plan my golf trip beer lineup and 3 way makes for an excellent breakfast / morning round beer selection.
