Anyone know when the Heist IPA's will be back on draft? I'm going to be in the area Friday and was hoping to try them out.

From their Instagram it looks like they started brewing an IPA yesterday. Growler and crowler fills to resume this weekend.

If you're looking for a comparable IPA I'd recommend checking out Wooden Robot.

Drinking a Fake Plastic Trees from Birdsong right now. I guess it is technically a "hoppy wheat" but it's tasting pretty good from the can after my bike ride and is definitely scratching my hop itch.

Yeah, I had a Fake Plastic Trees a few days ago and thought it was pretty solid. Very nice hoppy wheat.

As far as Session IPAs go, NoDa's Par 4 is pretty stellar. It wouldn't bother me at all if Par 4 and Burial's Ceremonial SIPA were available all year.

Totally agreed on Ceremonial. Have they released any more info on what hop will be behind the second batch and/or when it will be released? As far as I know, Par 4 hasn't made it to the Triangle yet.

Par 4 is in the Triangle. A few of the smaller shops may still have some.

I grabbed Par 4 at Pelagic over off of Person St in downtown Raleigh. Totally agree about that and Ceremonial, two of the better session IPA's I've had.

Got the chance to try Trophy Cloud Surfer and Bond Bros Local side by side today - both were great!

Really want to try Ceremonial- I can't wait for them to start distributing to the coast! Also want to echo the praise for Par 4. I grabbed a 4 pack of both Par 4 (5/26) and HDR (6/2) and Par 4 was bright, hop forward, and well balanced -HDR was not that. Hopefully NODA can just up the grain bill a bit and put out an Imperial version of Par 4, since they are clearly capable of making and canning a solid hoppy beer.

IPA back at Heist. Not From Concentrate v4 on tap now. Limit two crowlers per person.

Lynwood's Hop on Top is pretty damn good, it's 3 days old today and IMO it's right there with Burial Scythe.

My #1 absolute favorite IPA is Wedge Brewing Iron Rail IPA. Since they don't distribute it anywhere, it is probably unknown unless you have been to the brewery. Then you know what I'm talking about.

I would honestly guess that a large proportion of folks in this thread have been there before. Their IPA is an English style malt bomb if I remember correctly. Which there's nothing wrong with at all, but just not what most hopheads are looking for these days I don't think.

Yes, had Iron Rail on last trip to Asheville and it was very much a malt bomb. Not in my wheelhouse at all. Glad someone likes it. Enjoyed the laid back vibe at Wedge though. Stopped for a burger at Bull & Beggar, then walked down to Wedge for a beer on a beautiful Asheville weekend.

Beer Study in Chapel Hill has a NODA tap take-over going on today and I gave Good Will a try. Found it to be a pretty good IPA but, personally, I wouldn't go so far as to tag it as a New England Style IPA as I felt it fell somewhat short in both the hazy appearance and juicy / tropical nose - taste departments which one would expect of a NE style IPA. That said, it would not suck at all if NODA were to put it into cans as I would surely be willing to buy a bunch of it. IMO... this NODA offering is immensely superior to Hop Drop.

Anyone had the new batch of Ceremonial yet? Was hoping it would've been in the Triangle in time for the weekend, but doesn't look like it.
