You make it sound like there's only one person who runs absolutely everything in the company. Brewing every batch of every beer, marketing, running the bottling/labeling line, planning distribution, maintenance, etc. With as high of volume as Evil Twin produces, that has to be impossible, right? I could see one brewer coming up with all the recipes, but not everything that goes into a company. If there's more than one person on Evil Twins payroll, it's fair to make it plural. That being said, I love Evil Twin and don't think they (maybe?) are idiots at all.

This sounds so amazing! I don't suppose anyone wants to set up a trade for when this comes out?

As a matter of fact know the guy who designs the labels. Yes of course Jepe doesn't single-handedly brew, bottle and then personally deliver his beer, all himself, all over the world. You are correct.

Evil Twin beer is vastly overpriced and overhyped, and the quality rarely matches either. By supporting Evil Twin, you are supporting over inflation of beer prices due to toxic marketing of Evil Twin. And if you really think it's solely a one man project, I laugh. Even their website suggest it's a much bigger entity than that. But go ahead, be more butt hurt over my opinion.

I believe that the guy who started Evil Twin is the brother to the guy who started Mikkeller. So one guy might run the whole thing making all the executive decisions. It's not public so it must be privately owned. The beer is really expensive but that's what happens in the market place. If people were not buying it at the set price then they would not sell it at that price. Amazing how the market works!

Uhhh I don't know where you got that I was butt hurt. Just stating a reasonable fact that you'll probably be sitting it out. Obviously more people are involved than just Jeppe, but if you don't think he has virtually all of the authority in price setting and other decisions I think you're fooling yourself.

And for the record, I agree that a lot of Evil Twin stuff is overpriced, to me. But value is very much an individual determination and clearly the beer sells at the price point to he sets it. I don't understand why some people think that beer should exist outside normal business principles and not subject to normal supply/demand. Should beer just be cheap because it's beer or what?

Well the bourbon maple syrup release is very soon at Dark Horse so I'm going to assume this will be hitting shortly afterwards.

Apparently I spend way too much time thinking about beer. I literally had a dream last night about this beer being released and it was near-impossible to get a bottle. People didn't seem to really like it though and it averaged 3.5/5, so it wasn't a nightmare.

Just recently had their Citra Sunshine as well as Modern IPA. Both enjoyable. You never know what to expect from Evil Twin. Especially being a gypsy brewer and good collaborations. I tad pricey, but keeps you on your toes!

that sounds mighty good, but by the time it's released I will have forgotten all about it. Hey, My Bloody Valentine album cover Prince Casual. Used to love that band.

Anyone heard any news lately on release details? I've reached out to Evil Twin but nothing back yet.

Yea we got that here in NYC too. I didn't bother trying though. I doubt Evil Twin would make a beer that would only be distro'd in Michigan though...

Their stuff is priced high because they go through an importer, 12 Percent, which is any extra middle man, which means higher prices.

Isn't most of their beer (that's available here) contract brewed in the States?
