Strawberry Saison release tap/bottle today at CBB.

So I went to CBB for the Strawberry Saison release. (It's quite good, too high ABV at 7.3 for a summer crusher, but the flavor is excellent) They also had on a Dry Hopped Saison randaled with fresh strawberries (nice), a Quad Berry Rum DBSW (needs 2-3x more fruit to bottle, but damn good fresh on tap) and a Pineapple Jalapeno Smoked Porter that's a lot better than it sounds. Instead of overly sweet pineapple notes, it's muted and really levels the regular JSP out.

Strawberry Saison bottles are $7.99, probably limit 4. It's a good beer to buy and drink fresh, at the lower ABV and being fruited, I do not think it will have any aging potential.

So I know this is way far out in advance, but does anyone know when Bo and Luke will be released this year? Just wanted to plan ahead of time to make sure I am atleast in the state around then.

Usually later in the year. They'll announce it a few weeks ahead of time atleast.

I hope this years is ran better. I heard it was terrible last year with the rain and only one cashier for two lines (presale line, and folks without presale tickets). 70k wasn't bad though, so maybe that's a sign of things to come for their releases.

October, usually 2nd or 3rd weekend.

2015 was october, but 2013 and 2014 were both mid september. Also other than last year, in 2013 and 2014, i'm pretty sure they also released it on zwanze day, so maybe it'll show up on october 1st.

I know in '14 Zwanze Day and B&L day were on different weekends, because I attended both.

The Zwanze Day and B&L release definitely happened on the same day 2-3 years ago. Can't remember the year but I distinctly remember not going to Zwanze Day to make sure I got my variant pack of B&L.

I really wish they would make the Serrano and Habanero variant again. That was one of the best pepper beers I've ever had.

Anyone have any good new beers recently? About done with my stock in the fridge and want some new stuff for the weekend. Was debating whether to pick up the citra ass down in cans.

Local stuff? That CBB Strawberry Saison, but it appears to be brewery-only with no bottle distro. My local shopping has been suffering due to beer trips and trading of late.

A Beer from ATG is a pretty ideal summertime, outdoor/lake beer. Just a no frills, all purpose, really nice little APA.

I've been meaning to try that. I'll probably grab a couple bottles of it on my way out of town today.

New beers? Not so much, but my favorite local/regional seasonals right now are Heller Heaven and Peach Dodo.

I need to try the peach dodo. I want to get into Goses but haven't found one I really like. Reading peoples' feelings on Peach Dodo make it seem like it would be a good entry point.

Had the CBB Strawberry Saison last night. Definitely worth picking up for $8, glad they did something a bit different than what they usually release.

CBB is doing a crab apple version this Saturday in bottle. Sounds interesting.

Try Ritterguts Gose. Its fantastic and available all over. Peach Dodo isn't very good.

I hold the opposite opinion. If Ritterguts had been my first gose, I'd never have tried another.

Just saw on FB that Ethereal's got another bottle release coming on 6/22. Four Roses barrel aged olde ale, limit 2. I wish these breweries would stop having bottle releases on weekdays so I could actually have a chance at getting out there.

It's affecting my line-up early game. LOL

I'll be there for this one for sure.

For those of you that missed it, Ethereal's first batch of Baba Yaga (which I think no longer exists anywhere) was on par with good '15BCBS when it released, and it was every bit as good when the last of it went this week. If the batch next year is on par, you need to take off work if they release bottles on a weekday.
