They typically wait until the canning is done for the day before announcing limits just in case there are some issues that come up. Most of the past releases have not known limits until only a couple hours before opening at the earliest. I even think last week there were a few people already in line before they were announced. Whatever they are I would expect at least a case total (two 4packs/each) being the take. These guys are smart in knowing if they are going to set limits why not have it all fit nicely in a cardboard carrier.

A new record (by a couple hours) if the posts on a local group page is true. Lines already started.....10 or so deep per the post.

It was the same guy last week. He showed up at 11 this week and last.

I'm in the same boat as you, I'm hoping to get a trade done in line to get some of the cans from this week's release.

Seems like a long time to wait knowing people who show up around 3 will still likely get cans and overall, wait less time. Take that time up front to make a couple stops in RVA beforehand. Mekong, Legend, Final Gravity and Strangeways open around 11/Noon. Even Stone opens at 2 on Tuesdays. Make it a multi-stop trip instead of 1 very long wait session.

    Just posted.

~INFO FOR TODAY, TUESDAY JUNE 14TH CAN RELEASE~

Today we canned three fresh batches(still canning one!). Two brand new releases from us and the return of an old favorite with a new look. We literally JUST finished. Beginning today at 4PM we will be selling the following in 16oz can 4-packs:

-Master Master Shredder Shredder-5.5%-double dry-hopped IPA. This is the double dry-hopped version if our beloved flagship IPA Master Shredder. This one came out insane. Our favorite MS variant yet! Incredible aroma. Dank, fresh orange peel, grapefruit, slight onion(in a good way). We had a very low yield due to some technical difficulties and an insane amount of dry-hopping. Approx. 55 cases packaged; $14+tax per 4-pack; 1x 4-pack per person.

-Dirt Nap-8.8%-double IPA. Hopped intensely with Citra, Mosaic, Galaxy, and Nelson. Aroma/flavor profile is insane. Pineapple, mango, dank, tangerine. We upped the amount of Nelson to brighten up the aromatics a bit too. We prefer this batch over the first one for sure. First time in its new can too! Approx. 180 cases packaged; $15+tax per 4-pack; 3x 4-packs per person.

-Crucial Aunt-8.2%-double IPA with mangoes. Crucial Aunt is our flagship double IPA Crucial Taunt with a ton of natural mango purée and nectar added to it. We used over 100lbs of mango purée for a 15BBL batch. We also increased the Citra on the dry-hop addition to enhance the citrus/fruity aromatics. This is straight up mango juice. No other way to describe this. Approx. 80 cases packaged; $16+tax per 4-pack; 2x 4-packs per person.

These cans are ONLY available from our tasting room.

We still have Crucial Taunt Willie Becher's and baby blue branded stemmed glassware for sale.

    For draft we will have:
-Master Master Shredder Shredder-5.5%-double dry-hopped IPA
-IdonteverwanttoBU-9.3%-0 IBU Double IPA with Citra and Mosaic(very limited supplies)
    -Crucial Taunt-8%-our flagship Double IPA
    -Sprizite-6.2%-lemon and lime IPA
-Dirt Nap-8.8% double IPA with Cotra, Mosaic, Nelson, and Galaxy
    -Crucial Aunt-8.2%-double IPA with mangoes
    -Hornswoggler-7%-robust chocolate milk stout

You can order beers from inside and drink them in line as long as you are in the parking lot, which is a large portion of the line.

So far I think they've handled this huge turnout really well.

I've decided to go to every release from here on out. I can get up there easily on Tuesdays since I have a shitty joke of a job. I recently passed my sommelier test, but lets be real, you can't find a fucking job doing that shit! I'm gonna regret dedicating my entire life to craft beer when I'm 40 living in someone's shed but I'm a legend on untappd!

Anyone know what time you had to get in line to get the full allotment? Would gladly show up at 1 or 2 but I'd prefer to only have to wait an hour or less.

Not sure about today's but usually if you showed up by 4:30 you got full allotment and line moved pretty quick at that point. 20-30 min wait or so
