Don't forget Aslin's Master of Karate release this Saturday @ 11 AM.

 

I've never been to Aslin for a Saturday opening (I've been early afternoon multiple times) and I'm worried this is going to be a shit show. Thoughts?

 

Space Reaper releases Saturday as well, or maybe its Sunday.

 

Ive never had any issues at Aslin on the saturdays I went, it gets busy and you may have to wait about an hour or so for crowlers but it shouldnt be too bad.

ET Imperial Biscotti and Even More Jesus cans at Dominion sometime today

 

i was there this past saturday for the mind the hop milkshake. they only had three beers on tap. about 30 or so people and i had to wait about 30 minutes for my crowler. no line or anything that i saw. i got there around 11:15 or so and by noon the place had emptied out. they did sell out of the mind the hop milkshake by about 6pm with a limit of 64oz per person. i don't think they had as much of it as they usually have of their ipas.

as for this saturday, they are releasing both karate, which is a top 50 BA beer and starfish, which was briefly in the top 250, then fell out. this combination will be chum in the trade waters. if i were going, and i am probably not, i would go sometime between noon and 1 after the initial rush dies down. filling the crowlers is a slow process, so it will take a while to exhaust their supplies. i wouldn't be surprised if they reduced their limits from the 128oz per beer per person this weekend too, since they continue to run out of beer.

 

I recommend coming at opening, placing your order for crowlers and enjoying a couple glasses. They kick brews pretty quickly due to asshole traders and mulers who get the max fill limits. Good for business. Bad for locals. *shrug*

 

The huge amounts of Aslin getting send out in trades really is a bummer. With most locals, you can at least count on being able to have the beer on draft if you don't want to deal with can/bottle release crowds. There's just not enough to go around right now.

 

I was there for the Saturday MHC and Mind The Hop release... got there a few hours after opening and though it was a little busy, I had no trouble getting service or anything. Easy parking too.

 

I just think they should do 64 oz limits on all beverages.

They must be reading this thread. They just announced 64 oz limits on today's releases.

 

The worst are the fucking losers who post ISO/FT comments on their facebook and instagram posts.

Is it getting a brewery release this weekend?

 

I was @ Aslin ~ 2 weeks ago and some d-bag had his mother, father and sister with him. The family all sat at a table and he continually walked up to the counter every time "their" crowlers were ready for pick up. He walked out with 16 crowlers. While there, the family shared a total of 1 tasting flight. Come the fuck on.

 

Wow. Assholes.

I was told some ET cans might hit NoVA next week.
