Twin Cities Bottle Hunt - 2016 Edition

Hi all! I've dipped into this thread in the past and gotten some really great advice, so figured I'd pop back in as I'll be in the Twin Cities area this weekend. May not have access to downtown but will be in South and East/NE suburbs. Anything special to be looking out for. I usually try to grab large format bottles of just about any style as long as it seems interesting, and usually shoot for stuff I haven't tried before. Anything particular to be on the lookout for?

Any TG IPA dry hopped beers around? I'm an idiot and drove by Bloomington Total Wine yesterday.
Not sure what part of town is getting it today.

 

What about the ridgedale Lunds and Byerly's anyone ever bought TG bombers there?

 

I picked up a bottle of the Mosaic Golden Nugget (or whatever the GN variant is) At Apple Valley #3 today.

 

What stores in Minneapolis have 5/25 Sue cans??

What stores in the Minnetonka/Hopkins west metro area typically get TG bombers?

 

Vintage in Chan has Lightspeed, Smoove, and Pompeii last time I checked. no sue tho.

 

Appreciate the info, but I was talking more of the limited TG bombers like DDH Sue etc. Sorry didn't really specify there.

 

I got a bottle of DDH Sue at MGM Minnetonka and another bottle at Shorewood Liquor. Vintage in Chan usually has the more limited stuff too, but it flies out quickly. Also, Ace Spirits in Hopkins.

 

Did NugMo only drop in the east metro? Only hearing Galaxy Sue and no NugMo in the west metro.

 

Yep, they got 1 case of sue and it was gone fast.

 

A place in Bloomington told me yesterday they had to choose between MoNugget and DDH Sue, they also got Galaxy Sue. It must have been choose 2 of 3. They couldn't get all 3.
Seems it is/ has made the way toward the west and south the last few days.

 

Know of any specific places?

 

Yesterday was Cheers in Bloomington, 169/ Anderson Lake pkwy, and a Savage store as well.

MGM Calhoun had both Galaxy Sue and NugMo, limit 1 per and $10/bottle. Might want to call fist, dude set 1 aside for me.

 

Think I may have just snagged their last bottles of Galaxy and NugMo. Also got the first DDH Sue which was a nice surprise as well. There is another bottle of the first DDH Sue left there, but I'd call before going for the others bc I took the last ones in the fridge. Also I know ppl were looking for EMJ and IBB and they have both, along with a lot of other ET brews.

 

Really?! SOB I never was able to find a bottle of the DDH Sue and I was already at Calhoun once today... Probably sitting next to the Galaxy Sue and the guy never said anything.. Fuck me, didn't even think to ask

 

One of the guys told me that all they had was the bombers in the fridge, and all I saw was one bottle of NugMo and then the 2 DDH Sue. I was bummed out initially bc I wanted the Galaxy Sue more (already had citra DDH), but then I saw that there was one bottle hidden behind the Citra DDH Sue. Think someone was trying to be sneaky! Not sure if they had bottles up front too though. When I called like 20 min prior to going he made it sound like there was at least a few more of each, so might be worth a call to see if they had some elsewhere.
