Hi John, loved your work on Full House btw. I was just implying it's a bit ironic this beer is cheaper in Chicago than it seems to be in the home state of Michigan. At least on what's being reported in this thread. Picked up a sixer today so looking forward to trying it. Wish I could compare it to the HA version. Certainly a better value than the HA version (well the Chicago Short's price anyway nyuck nyuck).

my local shop prices Shorts at either $1.99 or $2.30 per bottle this year.

Seems like everything was $1.99 last year which still comes out to $12/6 before tax+deposit obviously.

Kinda sucks but they're the only gig in my area that gets any limited release stuff.

Have Mercy... But yeah, I got mine for 11.99. I am curious how it would stack up against Half Acre's version as well. I have loved their collabs so far, and I look forward to getting the Blueberry one when Shorts bottles it.

Someone care to chime in on how the Flanders is tasting? Heading up to our cabin this coming Thursday and hoping to grab a few while up there.

Not to get too far ahead, but after Pan Galactic, Dolly, Love Knife, and now that I'm sipping a Celestial Critter, I'm more excited for Richard in the Dirt than ever. Tripels are some of my favorites and I've wanted to try Short's take for a while.

Just bought six pack of Huma Lupa Licious brewed on 6 03 16. It tastes horrible. Pretty disappointed as normally I love this beer. I'm not familiar with how Shorts dates their beer. Thought I was buying beer canned on June 3. Was it really canned on March 6?

Any chance of Short's Cake coming out next week or are we looking at the last week of June?

    I would say a 50/50 chance.

Anyone have an idea when spruce pils will be released? I'll be up north July 10-17. Would love to take this back home with me to Chicago. Sipping on a freedom now and enjoying every minute

If it's a similar brew schedule to last year, it should be. I was up there around that time last summer (and I'll probably be hitting Short's on the 16th, myself) and I was able to take home a growler of it. Might have been psychological, but the pour from that growler that evening was ecstacy.

And speaking of pilsners, while we didn't get Pontius Road in a release or the variety pack, Old Reliable is still a nice consolation prize. Sometimes a nice, clean pils without a lot of the hopping is what the doctor ordered on a hot day.

The Short's online newsletter that I received today sounds like it will be out by then. https://us-mg5.mail.yahoo.com/neo/launch?.partner=sbc&.rand=5nm0sbo3a9lh6#mail

Also of interest, look farther down the newsletter to discover that Short's is releasing an "Early Summer Mixed Six Pack" with 5 different popular beers in it and one cider. https://www.shortsbrewing.com/shorts-mixed-six-memorial-day-week/

I noticed a few stores offering $2.00 off the purchase of two Short's 6 packs. Get it while you can! Nice way to move some old, but still good stock.
