Other Half Brewing (June 2016)

Idk...this city slickers is def not the same as the canned version. Not the same color or great taste imo

 

That's kind of what I suspected when I had it last weekend. Disappointing that I didn't get to try the canned version.

 

So not to break up the can talk, but I saw on OH website that there is a "keg request"...I messaged them through it, and it's been a while and haven't heard anything back. Are kegs to the public a thing there?

 

Who wants to play the guessing game? I am hoping GD lasts most of the day as it's been released many times before. I think Stuntz will last the weekend or longer (even though I like that beer).

 

I think SGE goes first, BBS definitely finishes on Saturday, there is no secret that OH's "light beers" are awesome. And there are a lot of locals that pop into the brewery once the crowd dies down that will chip away at GD but there is a chance it lasts until sunday like hop showers usually does.

 

I have a friend who requested a couple for his wedding, so yes. Not sure if he used the online form but pretty sure he just talked to someone at the brewery (probably Joe)

Last time they did a collab at Trillium it was released just at Trillium then the guys form Trillium came down to Other Half to brew Street Green, I would assume its a similar situation this time.

 

I'm mostly excited to see them putting their beer into cans. Those bombers demand respect, but they're heavy as a bastard.

 

Agreed. Also, sometimes (not often) I am in the mood for just one 16oz beer.

 

Yea I don't think these cans will make it to OH. But I imagine there will be another Trillium collab at OH in the future.

 

...and they're a pain in the ass to fit in the fridge. All that being said, I only have 1 bottle of Congress Street left, which will make me both happy and sad when I consume it this weekend.

Has anyone else tried exp. 007? I had it at "As Is" in Hells Kitchen the other day and I really really didnt enjoy it. Did I miss something or did any one else have the same feeling?

I loved it but I also thought the hop tasted similar to equinox, which I also love.

 

I had it at OH two weeks ago at the last can release and I thought it was fantastic.
