I will be living in Sicily for the next few years (moving from California) and I just want to know what the craft scene is like there. I do know that some major improvements have been made over the past couple of years but I would just like to know what to look out for ie good local pubs, micro breweries etc...Any help would be much appreciated!

Sicilia is not the best place for beer in italy, but there are a few spots with local beer of varying quality.
    Have a look here: Microbirrifici.org

Yeah, I know that most of the 'craft scene' is up in Northern Italy but I am kind of excited to be in an area that still has a ways to go when it comes to craft beer. It will be nice to see the changes over the next few years. Thanks for the info!

There is a spot called Buatta, a little microbrew pub with great food, in Catania. It has the best selection of beer I have found in the area. It seems to be supplied by 5-7 different breweries each having 3-5 styles of beer and their house beers normally a red and a blond on tap.

Sweet; I actually looked that place up a few days ago and it seems like the kind of place that I would like to check out so it is good to get some reassurance. Do you know of a place called Mosaic?? Thanks for the feedback!
