Thanks for the heads-up! Hackettstown's an easy ride for me.

Stopped by here today. Nice beers, great space. Outside area was very nice. Had a fun time chatting up other BA types while there.

So I hit up all three in Hackettstown today. None of them were crazy good, but all three were nice. Like I said, Czig had drinkable beer and a great area to hang out. Jersey Girl had a big tap list so I couldn't try everything, but not bad from what I had. Man Skirt was fine. I wasn't super impressed with their double IPA but the owner and his employees were wearing kilts and had a great attitude, plus I enjoyed chatting up the beer people there. I will say that out of all three, I chose not to fill any growlers. Make of that what you will.

Gotcha. I know exactly what you mean.

I have a feeling if I show this to the lady, she'll tell me "Let's go to Magnify and Kane."... I'll think about it.

Don't let me dissuade you from visiting. It's always good to visit new places. I think all three have their charm and have potential.

Go for the new place if the other two don't have any new beers is usually my strategy.

Okay, she wants to take a road trip.

We were just disenchanted with the experience at Jughandle... but she's settled on doing the three and Capital Craft.
At worst, it's a decent day outside and we're burnt from the beach today, so... why not?

Let me know when you're stopping in at Capital Craft. It's only a few miles from me. If possible, I'll meet up with you.

Edit: never mind. I remember you said tomorrow. Tomorrow I'll be with my family, sisters and the old man in Princeton and eating in Triumph. Let me know what you think of Captal Craft. Haven't been there yet.

Will do. Happy Father's Day, by the way!

We just take advantage of these days since we have no kids, yet.

Thanks. Yes, you should. We did many more crazy things before the kids. Now I'm a soccer and baseball (and basketball) coach (over for the summer, whew!) but we still work craft beer into the schedule when we can. Like today, we had the end of season party brunch, then I bolted up to those breweries to check them out. Then back home to watch Empire Strikes Back with my son, a Jedi. Then outside to fire pit to relax with beer. Yes, relaxing with kids takes more work.

i thought Mike L whom is now at tired hands had a hand in the reworking of ANTEAD?.... could be off base here, but stories have been told.. true or otherwise I can't say, stories none the less.

This should really be a separate thread; hate to use Czig’s thread to clarify…

Terms such as reworking, repair, heal, fix, and whatnot are nonexistent (i.e. they were not the intent). The intent was to

Please refer to the following link:

Kane has had and will continue to have a series of acquaintances, each of which will have a reputable reputation/resume after Kane

Miscellaneous other examples of folks who left "said" breweries
    • Phil Markowski left Southampton

    • Jeff O'Neil left Ithaca

    • Matt Czigler left Kane

Not trying to discredit or take away anything from Mat or others. Nonetheless, if this post reads as that, then the moderators will take the necessary steps (i.e. delete)

Ya. Maybe my abbreviation was quite vague. Of course, your "one beer too many" synopsis is a simpler explanation than my elaboration on the subject matter.

...I'll take the bait if it comes

I don't understand. What's the point of commenting if you're going to insist on being vague as shit?

Ahhh man really, was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt.

What I’m trying to say is that Mike never had a problem with the initial ANTEAD; what I’m trying to say is that Mike tweaked it to the public/majority/typical…”more traditional imperial stout”

So why is that so noteworthy that you need to speak in code? I thought that topic was already covered above.

Yes sir...was addressing @digdug1810 who was referencing a Tired Hands acquaintance. Thus, trying to reiterate/cement the facts in stone regardless of who left kane or any brewery for that matter and went elsewhere

See my initial post and the post above it/the post I quoted which led to this debacle
