Well, I decided to go north to check out three new breweries instead of heading in to hope I made it for the cans. Probably a wash. Anyway, looks like future OH releases will favor the late arrivals and I'll be there.

    BBS:

Kolsch yeast backbone is there; untraditional perhaps, but OH didn’t demolish the style with hops. Glad the harvest on BBS was substantial; a floral hoppy, session, goodness comingled with white pepper, bready malts, hay(straw), some spice, fruit(grape), and lemon rind

Outstanding mouthfeel for 4.7%: extremely refreshing, crisp, grainy, creamy, grassy take on a Kolsch (very well balanced). Gotta reiterate the mouthfeel with a more abrasive adjective: exceptional, phenomenal, incomparable…?

I could get used to getting to OH @ 3:00 and grabbing some cans, even though I missed Green Diamonds......

How long do you guys think these (or any) session beers usually hold up for? I have a family reunion on August 13th and would love to share some of these with my cousin who is obsessed with Carton Boat (and yes it'll be outside and probably be hot as hell). I only ask because I usually go through session beers pretty quick and don't really hold onto them.

That's less than 2 months from canning. I'm sure they'll still be fine.

i was trying to figure that out myself, i wasn't directly next to the glasses and lowered my budget to 3 packs while in line, but couldn't resist. i saw someone else with it and pointed out that i'd like the same 'gold one'. they kept calling it something with beginning with an 's', i couldn't quite catch it. they said it twice, so if i really cared i should've just looked like an idiot anyway and asked. it's exactly 16 oz, i can pour a full can up to the top. couldn't find anything from Rastal (who i assume made it), so i'm going to stick to 'chubby pint'. if i saw these unbranded somewhere, i'd prob get a set, i dig the shape.

It was described to me as a "Nordic pint." Not sure if that's their description for it or the official style name, but that's what it was called.

truly wonderful example of my listening skills. probably going to be hard to google-shop for that in order to find something similar without a thor hammer on it.

edit: apparently we could have just looked at the OH website, i didn't know they sold them online

after way too much research, I found it. sadly you can only order 4 or 12 at a time, I only wanted 2 max.

No Layups cans have really hit their stride. This is definitely up there for me as one of my Top 5 OH Beers.

I really regret not getting the full allotment of No Layups- and getting the full allotment of Suparillo. Batch 1 >>>> Batch 2. Still a pretty label, though.
