You mean over. I'm in Japan! I'd love to do the tasting, but I won't be back in Chicago until June...and that will just be for a week.

 

First they overtake our ability to make competitive cars, now beer tastings? damn

 

If it makes you feel any better, you don't have to worry about them overtaking the driving ability thing.

Hot Dougs AND Kumas on a Saturday with a big tasting group? With how long you will be waiting at each place you should probably just have the tasting in line

 

There will probably only be dudes at that tasting, you sure you want to ask that question?

 

I can check what I have but I'm pretty sure I have an '08 Behemoth around here somewhere. My DL only goes back to '08 though.

 

I wish I could attend this... I thoroughly enjoy filling holes.

waffles! what happened here? I thought that this was BA darklords only, I say everyone has to have a ba darklord to get in... that goes for girlfriends too. What you bring after that if up to you, but a BA darklord is mandatory...if not Ill bring a battle priest and a 400lb alcoholic "girlfriend" that will drink all till she dies

 

Yes I agree. In my spreadsheet I added other beers to the list just in case people wanted to expand and bring extras. However the point is a BA DL tasting and should be a requirement to attend. Lots of people seem to want to bring a girlfriend or wife, which is fine if you can both pony up a bottle.

Anyway there are several dates being discussed here, so I am going to start a group conversation for the weekend of the 28th/29th, see where we are, and start up a separate thread I think.

 

I'm pretty positive I can make this...I have a Bourbon DL I can bring and then also this years DL or a BA Alpha Klaus variant

 

Title says it all. Time is tentatively 1PM on 9/22. We have a location in Chicago near Rev Brew in Logan Square. Gonna get some Hot Dougs in the AM, followed by a trip to either Kumas or Rev Brew, if you want to continue the party, afterwards. Anyone with any BB Dark Lord is welcome to join us as well (obviously )

NEW game plan is:
-Dark Lord Vertical + Bourbon Dark Lord
-Behemoth Vertical
-Other killer bottles (1414, CBS, BB Moloko, etc.)

Hit us up if interested in stout/barleywine fatigue.

 

Well that sucks. Definitely just spent 200 dollars to get a battle priest, Ba alpha klaus, and Cabra because I knew my tradeing would never get me a Ba dark lord and not to mention even if I traded those for a Ba dark lord, the original plan was you could bring a plus one and its my gf's bday on the 30thad bow we need to pony out two Ba dark lords?

Is anybody else still waiting for their wristband to show up in the mail? I know it hasn't been that long, but I'm starting to get worried.

 

I'm trying to figure out who is organizing this or how many tastings there are. I'm actually glad my cousins and I drank our bottles a couple of months ago so we don't have to worry about this shit.
