are we 100% sure these BASS that were released today are 2016 batch? I zoomed in on the photo of the bottles on the product page (https://cdn.evbuc.com/eventlogos/166332885/baoabass2.jpg) and it clearly says 2015, as does the photo alesmith posted on IG.

Here it is zoomed and cropped...

just questioning it because last year the 2015 BASS was released twice..whose to say this isnt just left over from that?

if it is the 2016, batch, nowhere do they say state that, nor is it very clear..and i feel like common sense would tell me they would be as clear as possible on this lol

The plot thickens... I for one would not be disappointed with '15 bottles.

@SDReaper any insight here? On the ground recon?

Keep using your investigative skills on previous BASS releases and tell me that they 100% used the correct picture each time.

Here is a hint to save you some time.....they didn't.

Also because apparently ppl are scared on vintages and seem to be hesitant to buy it unless it IS a 2016

"Alesmith Employee: Just like a wine, the vintage refers to the year it was released, not the year it was put into barrels. So, since it's 2016, it would appear to be 2016 Barrel-Aged Speedway"

yet they specifically said the word "vintage" in their reply, signifying its 2015 vintage, not 2015 barrel put into a 2016 vintage. its all very confusing, and i know it makes little to no difference in the end as the beer is gonna be fantastic regardless, i just dont like thats its misleading enough that people are saying "yay 2016 BASS!" when in actuality it isnt....

Funny though how the year was clearly stated for the old ales (obviously 2 sales). But if it is a 15 ba speedway there is no mention of year until asked.

just reads more like a cellar sale vs a new release. i guess only time will truly tell what the deal is once people have bottles in hand.

True, plus there wasnt another vintage of BA speedway available like the olde ale so I guess thet figured they didnt need to note "2015". I didn't realize that I might have actually bought 15's vs 16 until I read some of the responses.

Hahaha, if only right? My guess is this section will be rather quiet except for the weekends and then a regular flow of 6 ppl (me being one of them).

Based on the picture of the small sign out in front I like that they can limit entry so it doesn't become butts to nuts cramped.

comparing barrel aged beer to frozen yogurt is like comparing The Godfather to Keeping Up With The Kardashians

    otherwise, awesome news

It is small, capacity is low...so going to guess they will limit ppls' time inside of it for a couple months so that as many people as possible can enjoy it and check it out.

But who really knows? They are probably still working out those little details right up until saturday.

What I do recall is that there is no glass washer in there, so everything will have to be washed by hand.
