I am a 15 minute drive away from Tired Hands. I am about 100 miles from Atlantic Highlands, NJ which could be a couple hour drive or realistically much longer given NJ traffic.

I just haven't made the effort to get to Carton.:flushed:

    Cheers!

I agree, Hoi Polloi was good but nothing amazing. Boat is a whole different story

Carton seems easier to get than Tired Hands. I've never made the drive to their brewery (at least few hours, like you said) but I've found it for sale at a store in south NJ and I know they distribute through the state.

How's the line looking? I wouldn't be able to make it there until 6:15 or so.

the yields actually seem on the low side for them.
what was the other half collab?
it's not impossible to get cans, nor do they sell out instantaneously. one time I just missed something at 6:30, 2 others i purchased after 7 ( not hop hands, lager, or hoi)

My understanding is that it is a timing issue. For example Carton self distributes to various retailers and those beers might be available for a week (or so) after delivery but the rest of the month (or so) it is not available.

    Cheers!

Wow, that is far. I'm only 70 miles from Tired Hands and it's kept me away. Only 40 miles from Carton and the traffic can pose a problem. BUT I recommend that you bite the bullet one day and make the drive to buy a case on Boat.

Death tripper is pretty much gone maybe two or three cases left. Negative knuckle maybe about 30 cases left. Lines at the door.

Death Tripper out. Half a palette or so of Negative Knuckle left.

I'd be all over that if I wasn't going to be out of town.

The lines yesterday were as long as I have ever seen them but I thought they actually did a really good job of moving people in and out of there.

I think it has more to do with what's being offered. There may be a little drop off with people burned out from waiting in lines 2x in one week, but if the next release is a stout & double IPA or a milkshake (etc) you'll see the usual line.

The 7 cases leftover from yesterday went in 8 minutes today.

One case sale per minute; that sounds about right.

    "Selling like hotcakes"!!

    Cheers!

Is there a reason they can such a limited amount of beer? With two facilities shouldn't I be able to walk into a local shop and buy a sixer of HopHands by now? Why is it still so crazy with all the long lines and stuff?

I do not have a definitive answer but:

It is my understanding that the Cafe is a 7 barrel brewhouse and the Fermentaria is a 15 (?) barrel brewhouse. Neither of these breweries are particularly big especially when you consider at any given time they might have nearly 20 different beer brands pouring at both locations. In addition they are providing kegs to a number of accounts in the Philly area, NYC and Washington D.C.

If all that they wanted to brew was HopHands they could likely be more accommodating in providing a beer like HopHands in cans at various beer retailers. Needless to say this is not their specific business plan at the moment.

    Cheers!
