Jackie O's (2018)

Had a great visit this past weekend, was able to try a few items for the first time, best standouts were Evelyn, BBBK Nuts and Grave. The aroma on the grave was the most memorable, after a night out I could still remember it, don't ask me about the others. Of course Oro was on tap and awesome, had a few pours of that.

Always a great time to visit, this was my second time. First was during a release and it was a madhouse. I enjoyed being able to relax and have some space this second time, even if the tap list wasn't in full effect.

Plenty of Lanthrone left, I was happy to bring that home.

I was planning on going, but I think I'll do something else that night, I'm pretty unimpressed.

 

I think it will more than last the weekend. It's seeing distro around the state I believe, which usually means they made a ton.

 

80 cases to the state, 80 to party source/quaff bros. 200+ for the taproom.

Mandala Citra cans next week per Facebook. Solid 1-2 punch alongside the fantastic New Growth cans.

 

Looking like it might be a good weekend: Headed down to Athens Saturday to see a band play at the Smiling Skull, hit up Jackie O's for some beers(Oro Negro on tap is the flame to my moth) and Sunday hit Hoof Hearted on the way back for more beer. This is why I have a job.

 

Looking good. Hopefully the blend of Oil of Aphrodite and BA DA is all it's cracked up to be.

 

Don't they refer to their blends as Cellar Cuvees? I would think they had blended these before or am I wrong entirely on this. Not that I care, its just a name, just trying to get a better understanding.

 

Some but not all blends get the cellar cuvée name. Spirit beast was the last blend outside the cuvée series that comes to mind. Now that I think about it that was a collaboration with local restaurant group too. So maybe only brads own blends get the cuvée label?

 

Here now and both are legit great job brad!!!!!!

 

Can we expect distro of Full Allotment next week?

 

Noble Sorrel, Full Allotment and Mandala Citra will all see Ohio distro next week according to their Facebook post from yesterday.

 

My local just got a case of Oro; had to pick up one more.

Had Nobel yesterday and man it is straight bourbon when it is cold. As it warms I got some raisens and a bit of the chocolate but that bourbon isn't going away. I enjoyed it.

Nobel is phenomenal

big flavor, and even though it says Ale on the bottle, sure drinks like a really good stout

it's now one of my all time favorites
