Awesome. Thanks @masterob8 . I'm sure you'll see me a couple times by the time the weekend is over.

This 06/03 batch of morph is a mighty fine version. More malt than us spoiled new englanders are accustomed to but it's a reminder that all ipas don't need to be hop juice. Tangerines and lemon and pepper. Bright, clean and refreshing. Nice. It's been so easy finding nightshift cans in the city nowadays. Marty's has the 87 right now! What a great time to be a hop addicted Boston rat.

Also congrats nightshift team on the expansion.

What's the crowd like on Saturday around open? Think any Idaho 7 will be available?

masterob8 - 6/17 brought us another insanely good batch of Morph. I feel like 2016 has been a banner year for the iterations, and the ratings/reviews reflect that. Any plans to revisit any of the iterations at some point in the future? My naïve-self would love to see a vote and then a re-issue but I know that's a shit-ton of work that has a lot of dependencies (hop availability, current lineup of beers, etc.). What I'm saying is - April's batches were gold and I miss them.

6/3 Morph was a standout during our trip through Boston, Vermont, NH, and Portland. Very juicy and quenching. Full flavor but refreshing. The taproom vibe/experience was the favorite of our trip as well right up there with Deciduous. Fun to sample 2015 Darkling and Hermit while we were there.

Awesome to hear you are digging the Morphs. We work hard on creating those recipes and sourcing all the hops to pull it off! Right now we don't have any plans to do an exact re-brew of any of the beers. But we aren't totally opposed to do it either. Just need more tank space to keep them coming!

Would be interesting to have a morph flight and see the differences between a couple batches. Might have to hold on to some cans and try it. I have been digging them all.

Depending on the time between batches, I feel like this has the potential to not go well. Or at least, I should say, not be an accurate comparison.

For example, I wouldn't compare one batch at two weeks old to one at 3 months old.

Agreed, it would have to depend on timing. The past couple months have seem a lot of iterations, between 5/2 and 6/17 there were 4 different versions. http://www.nightshiftbrewing.com/morph-batch-tasting-notes

have been on a steady diet of Morph's in 2016. 6/3 was the last and felt exactly the same: juicy yet refreshing.

I found a 4/20 canned Santilli in the fridge a few weeks ago. I'd been saving it for an IPA friend due to the interesting canning date. cracked it for myself, and it immediately had me shooting down the notion that a recent Morph recipe had surpassed Santilli. It's still the king of NS IPA's.

I thought the 6/3 was good too, but I picked up some of the 6/17 yesterday and liked it much more. It's a lot closer to something like Fort Point but still with the Night Shift character. Worth a try if you can find some.

And when it comes to Whirlpool, I'm constantly amazed at how they pack so much goodness into such a small beer.

Stopped in at Nightshift on Tuesday as an out of towner. I guess I wasn't blown away by Whirlpool (as compared to a session like Invasion). Still solid. I enjoyed Santilli and the 87 but Morph 6/17 was the star to me. That's a really good beer that I'm happy I was able to grab in town

I'll be in West Newton (at the marriot) for a wedding this weekend, does the CBC just off the mass pike in Newton give me the best shot at cans? What about Auburndale wine and spirits? typically i'd give a place like that a 0% chance, but I figured I might as well ask about it.

@hyperguy220 - CBC Newton gets all our cans. They might not always be in stock though. Don't think we sell to Auburndale Wine.

Thanks for the reply, normally I would shoot up to Everett, but I'm carpooling so I have to stick close by. I will definitely give CBC a shot.

Gordon's in neighboring Waltham usually has Night Shift cans. You can almost always find Awake and Trifecta. Availability of hoppy beers depends on how long it's been since their last weekly delivery.
