Lol, fair enough! I don't hate baseball, I just find it hard to watch. To each their own, cheers.

Openning day, the corner tap room had KBS and Hopslam for $10 per 6oz pour. KBS blew during that game.

The new bar by the escalators had Two Hearted, Oberon, Norm's, VJP, and one or two more MI beers. $10/16 oz.

Wish I knew that when I was at the shitty game today. May have actually gone for that.

Headed there tomorrow. Where is the kbs? Craft beer stand, or at the bar that used to be Leo's?

It was at the Corner Tap Room (old Leo's) during opening weekend.

Headed to Comerica Friday for the game. Loved this thread this year, without reading back too far, where exactly is the "craft beer corner". I believe thats what it was called. Also thinking of hitting up the Detroit Hopcat and possibly Kuhnhenn since we are going up super early. Any other recommendations or comments? I always love hearing from people that know their beer/beer joints in a specific area.

The craft beer stand is in right field, behind section 104 with a side entrance right there at gate B. Usually something interesting on tap and, they may not be doing this anymore, in years past they were running firkins on Fridays. Food offerings at that stand are also better than the dogs and 'nachos' you'll snag at a regular stand.

Where exactly are you coming from? I'm not hating on your idea to hit up Kuhnhenn, I've spent more than my fair share of time there, but its about 25 minutes north of the stadium. Not to mention, Friday's looking mighty nice so I'd expect rush hour to start around 3:30 and carry through till 6 as people sneak out to get the weekend going.

If you're looking to get some brewery time in before the game, might I suggest Batch in Corktown? Cool spot, good beer, outdoor seating AND they actually have parking.

Awesome I will probably check that out then. Coming about 2 hours from Coldwater. I also usually stop at Detroit Beer Co. Really wanted to stop by Hopcat, do they have parking? I'm trying to figure out where I should park at and if we should just take a taxi. I see there is also a Jolly Pumpkin downtown, any comments on that?

Even better if you're interested in Jolly Pumpkin as its just a 5 minute walk down Canfield from HopCat...certainly a good option.
Unfortunately I cannot speak to the availability of taxis from there.

Uber or Lyft works great all around downtown and by far your best bet. Parking closer to the stadium isn't bad after hitting Corktown or Midtown.

Can anybody speak to the parking situation at Hopcat? Also sounds like some good beers on tap at the craft corner, kbs a week ago? Anybody been lately that can say what was on tap?

I have been able to find parking on the street within a block or so the three times I have been there.

Any update on what's on right now? Where are the best beer stands located? I know I could probably scroll back to see where these are but I do not have the time to look through 6 pages. Coming into town to see family Saturday and we are going to the Indians-Tigers game. I saw Cherry Third Coast Ale checked in on Untappd.

Best location for variety is still the craft beer bar by the gates in right field. Beyond that there's a new bar behind homeplate that has a few michigan brews on tap then a handful of other smaller stands scattered across the first level of the park selling the same. The only place that is difficult to find a decent beer is in the upper deck.

The Corner Tap Room (behind 1st base dugout, I think) also has some nice stuff on tap from time to time. They had a Bell's tap takeover at the last game I attended. Ending up having a Hopsolution, TC Coffee Consecrator and a Raspberry Wild One. Pretty damn impressive when you consider the selection at the yard 5-6 years ago.

Would love to have raspberry wild one while watching the Tigers at the park.
